Keith “golden boots” Barnes had passed away. RIP and condolences to his family and friends. Probably the greatest Balmain player to put on the jersey.

RIP, a great man. One of the most important people in the history of the Balmain Tigers.

My grandparents regularly spoke highly of Keith having watch him play and known him. A loss to the rugby league community

RIP Keith Golden Boots Barnes

He never did get that GF retiring in 68 a year before Balmains famous 1969 victory.

Along with Tommy & Holman for Magpies one of the greats of our joint venture clubs

Legend in the true meaning of the word.

Not the nrl360 player who had a good 20 mins.

Champion player and admin for the tigers.

RIP.

A massive piece of Balmain Tigers history has also died with the passing of Keith Barnes. Condolences to those who knew and loved him. Very sad.

Let's hope that WT do a better job of honouring his memory than they did with Tommy Raudonikis. That day was an embarrassment (on-ground mic not working properly, speakers in the main stand inaudible) and emblematic of the lack of attention to detail that Pascoe and Lee presided over. Disgraceful.
