Been reading a book about these guys the last few days. I forgot how great they were. They only really released 3 albums before complete dysfunction took over.
Neil Young, a great musician, and this is one of his best imo. I never get sick of playing this.
"Heart of Gold"
i love Neil Young, Seen him a number of times over the years.

Just simply and amazing band.

I'm jealous brother. It's easy to listen too hey. He's just as good in the studio as he is live.i love Neil Young, Seen him a number of times over the years.
In the Heart of Gold track, he changes from harmonica to singing with ease.

I like songs like Heart of Gold and Cinnamon Girl but I really like his heavier stuff. This is my favourite and can't believe he was releasing music like this so late into his career.

@garry Great song Garry....Rockin In The Free World 👍
I also like the deep and meaningful stuff. "Man Needs a Maid" is a slow song but so not for everyone.
The backing of the London Symphony Orchestra does it for me.
The song raised a few eyebrows because of it's chauvinistic title.
He wrote this about his then-girlfriend, actress Carrie Snodgress – she’s referenced on the lines “I fell in love with the actress.
She was playing a part that I could understan.”
There is a bit to the lyrics, too much to post. The words strike something deep inside me, when I listen to it I see it as needing a soulmate.
Great song.
@crowsnest This is my favourite of his slower songs.
Lyrics mean everything to me in music, it is what I connect with.

@crowsnest This is the song I use to centre my mental health.

We're on a role for music that hits our hearts strings. This song helped me get thru some dark times of my life a long time ago.

Couldn’t agree more. Brilliant song & band! They have written so many songs that connect with me for one reason or another.
One of the all time greatest song, well at least in the post 70's era...QUEEN Bohemian rhapsody.
