2 words - BULLIED and DOMINATED also 100% agree with mismatch and outclassed.
Until we get a forward pack that can stand up and hold their own against aggressive fast moving forwards like the Roosters pack we’ll always be getting scores like this put on us by quality teams.
My one word would be "gulf", just a difference in class. My Acronym would TGWGR-thank god we got Romy. One player that can make a difference.
one word
Balaclava
Stefano must be wearing one if he things he is worth 800k next year
My one word - Rorted.
No, not the final result; that was due to those other great one words suggested here like "gulf" and "outclassed".
But we were smashed by the Rorters in a game officiated by Rorters and governed by a mob who allow the Rorters to keep rorting.
One word “Expected”
I had hoped for something better, but this was always going to be.
I was happy the boys didn’t give up though.
The Rooters are simply too good. They should win the comp easily, but probably won’t.
Go the TIGERS!
Overwhelmed. The Roosters defensive line kept coming like wave after wave at Bondi Beach and the Tigers struggled to keep their heads above water. They were just exhausted out of the game.
Of course the mandatory 50 missed tackles and 2 sin bins did not help, but I do think that they tried to battle on through most of the game and the last minute try saved the embarrassment of a nil scoreline which would have benn undeserved.
10 rounds to go.
I want to stand up against the anti Bateman tide at the moment. IMO last night he showed a big part of what he brings to this team and club. Besides tackling himself to a standstill, in the face of that Roosters pack he was prepared to stand up. In that mini war with Collins, after Klemmer had stupidly tried to take his head off and then Api accidently slid in and hit him with his knees, Bateman was the one who rushed in and protected Api and stood up and continued to stand up to Collins and the rest. He took the full brunt of that exchange and was the one looking to belt them in the next tackle. We ahve asked for a player who would stand up like that for a long time and we have one and last night he managed to do it without tipping over and giving away penalties or sin bins.
My one word is “support”, nothing to do with the game itself but to those Tigers fans who went and gave their support despite our terrible history against that lot, the time of the game, the travel to the Moore Park area etc. You all deserve a lot of credit. Hopefully back at Leichhardt you can all cheer on a great performance.
Never going to win that game , that said I am heartened to see the boys having a go thought the effort in defence was solid in general the Roosters players this morning would be feeling they played last night . Many positives and negatives but it’s all to see at least 6 top players short of making a real impression in this comp! Steph is kidding himself if he thinks he is worth that type of money this is the big negative for me .Richo needs to restock this outfit quickly to become at least competitive next season the young guys will not be enough .Pissed about the sin bins as I thought an under 30 point lose was attainable the effort was there for that margin being wooden spooners this is always going to be the case. I do feel the tide has turned at the club just need more quality!
@tiger5150 You need some old heads I do not mind Bateman you need someone in the forwards that gets in your face .. I also like Seyfarth if he can control the way he uses his aggression I believe he is a real sleeper .
Custard, Dogshit, Pathetic, Woeful. Either one of those.
It's hard to comprehend the last time we strung 3 wins in a row was way back in 2018. I'd hate to see us dish the same up when Luai comes next yr.
At this point I’d rather keep Bateman for the remainder of this contract than re-sign Stef. Last night was his chance to show he could match it with a decent pack, and he failed like he has every time. We shouldn’t be offering him $800k a season, he’s worth closer to half that.@tiger5150 You need some old heads I do not mind Bateman you need someone in the forwards that gets in your face .. Pole is a superior player imo.
Just a small thing that really annoyed me last night. Bula was tackled near the sideline, was flat on his back and being dragged to the sideline and passed it and was penalised because he passed the ball from the ground while held.
Later a Tigers player (was it Bula again?) cleans up a loose ball, is held and flat on his back but the Roosters player strips the ball out of his hands but its play on and Roosters ultimately score from it?
You knew the ref was against us from the first penalty for offside which was successfully challenged. Absolute joke.Just a small thing that really annoyed me last night. 'Tempo'.
Roosters did everything at a higher tempo than us. Especially their line speed, they continued to leave early and cop a couple of penalties and 6-again calls in order to stifle our possessions. To their credit they kept it up most of the game too. (It's a good tactic to employ against us and Benji needs to come up with a plan to combat this).
Then in possession they executed much faster, and mostly had us on the back foot in D.
