NRL 2024: Eels star Mitchell Moses facing extended stint on sidelines with foot fracture
Parramatta’s premiership aspirations have been dealt a devastating blow, with the club’s halfback and most influential player facing up to 12 weeks on the sidelines.
Parramatta has been rocked with halfback Mitch Moses ruled out for up to three months with a fractured foot.
Moses underwent scans on Monday and is expected to undergo surgery sometime this week.
Medical diagnosis suggests Moses will miss six to 12 weeks.
There is a theory that Moses’ return could be around eight weeks.
Losing Moses for potentially half the season is a crippling blow for the Eels.
It is understood Moses sustained the injury against Manly at CommBank Stadium on Sunday.
Moses’ absence comes after Nathan Cleary was ruled out for four with a hamstring injury suffered in last week’s grand final replay against Brisbane.

It could leave NSW short of options heading into the Origin campaign.
Parramatta coach Brad Arthur will name his side on Tuesday for Easter Monday’s big game against Wests Tigers at Accor Stadium.
Rising star Ethan Sanders is a possible replacement for Moses.
NSW Cup five-eighth Daejarn Asi is another option for Arthur as is Brendan Hands.
If chosen, Sanders would make his NRL debut a week after another young gun, centre Blaize Talagi debuted for Parramatta.
Moses was securing medical advice on Monday and did appear at Parramatta headquarters.
Parramatta will welcome centre Bailey Simonsson and winger Mika Sivo back this week from injury and suspension.
Talagi and Morgan Harper are expected to be dropped.
Parramatta defeated Manly on Sunday and have now won two from their opening three games.
Moses’ form over the opening rounds has been stellar although he injured his groin in round one.
Parramatta and Wests Tigers were last round winners and should attract a big crowd at Sydney Olympic Park.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
Gutho will have to double his arm waving to make up for Moses not being there…

Typical of the level of "Journalism" these days. Willing to bet almost no crowd at Olympic Park other than the dagwood dog aficionados.
Would like to say Im disappointed that Moses wont be there and want the chance to beat them at their best.....but nah....

No Moses
No Cartwright
they get Sivo back
I think we can win this
we get to see a demo of Luai at 7 leading the Penrith team, this is good
I’m scared they will go with Ethan sanders at 5/8 and show us why he is so touted as an up and coming talent.

think the colonel will likely heading to Canberra tbh and Arthur won't play him, parra can be spiteful like that if you are leaving.
If he plays and our forwards go hard like they did with hynes he will melt under the pressure

Thats a good point. We should get a few good weeks to see what we bought.

Unchanged team is not unexpected. i probably would prefer Sione Fainu for Twal but Kepaoa gives some flexibility obviously. A few changes would surprise me based on some injuries.
Hope Latu comes in for Sullivan and Matamua for Kepaoa
next man up mentality!! Twal’s D will be missed sorely. But hopefully contain the weakened slimey mob.Unchanged team is not unexpected. i probably would prefer Sione Fainu for Twal but Kepaoa gives some flexibility obviously. A few changes would surprise me based on some injuries.
