Good to see some of the younger players get a run and get tested in NRL
Nows the time to start seeing if we have any players which might be worth keeping and which ones we need to move on.
What was everyone's thoughts on the less experienced players?

Most of the bright spots revolved around the youngsters. We need that.

one word...incapable.
We are incapable of playing 80mins. We can compete in periods and the effort is there but we can't stay in the game.
There were positives tonight..apart from the first 20min. But we are currently a 40-60 min team.

Most of them are outshining the “experienced” players at the moment.
Galvin and Sam Fainu were our better players
Feledy was solid enough
Matamua looked good tonight and should be given a run at 13 after the bye
I like Pole, won’t be a star but a solid reliable player. The type you need in your lower slots.
Lobb looked good and I’d like to see him get a few games on the wing.
The season is well and truely done so let’s starting giving them some experience. The cup side is getting flogged as well so they may as well be in firsts as the development will be the same.

I think we are closer to a 20-40 minute team but you are correct.
One word: DeLorean
can we get one and just fast forward to the better days. These dark days are dragging on a little.
Another word....Api.
Where would we be without him?
That first 20-30 mins was embarrassing. Everything about this club is just sad.
We’ve now slipped down to a 38% winning percentage across the club’s history.

Declan Casey - Shred immediately
Josh Feledy - A pass mark. Looked stronger than last year, ran strongly and didnt look out of place in attack. Poor positional defence, left Galvin stranded on one of their tries and didnt help Ailamalo a couple of times.
Alex Lobb - In limited minutes looked to run the ball strongly and I think would be better than Staines with hard carries. badly out of position for their last try.
Ailamalo - Looked fantastic under the high ball last week and looked totally lost under the high ball early tonight. I still think he is our left winger going forward. Didnt drop his bundle and does some good things with the ball. Id be going for Ailamalo & Lobb on wings next week.
Sullivan - his best game for us and was very good defensively (if anyone can be when the opposition puts +40 on us). I thought he actually did a few good things in attack and one of the rare times Ive seen any Tigers player run into a position properly to give Galvin an option late in the game. Not a long term answer for us but as a back up half, not the worst.
Samuela Fainu - Already our best back rower and will be a star. Very exciting prospect and enjoying watching him interplay with Galvin. Will benefit from Luai next year.
Matamua - Looked good in patches. First time Ive seen him and thought he could be a first grader.

Can’t see it going up any time soon
For my one word, Im going to recycle a word Ive used twice already this year.............character.
4.5 day turnaround, living away from home, going up to townsville with possibly the least experienced team we have ever fielded against a team that has been underperforming but bristling with stars and desperate to prove a point, we were always up against it and likely to get pumped, as everyone on the pod noted.
In the first 20mins we looked exactly like an experienced team of kids, living away from home with insufficient preparation that got ambushed, because thats exactly what we are and what happened. The test of character though, rather than laying down which the '22 & '23 Tigers would have, this team fought back from 20-0 to 20-16 and then fought back to close the gap again later.
Ultimately we werent good enough and made too many mistakes again but there is a strong character in this squad with these kids and Im hopeful that they can continue to hold it together because it is what we can build from.
First 15 mins was what I expected given the inexperience in that side but was impressed we win the last 65 minutes.
Lots of potential in this side just need some more quality in the outside backs.
Galvin was brilliant, Sullivan has been better then Sezer at halfback, Matamua, Pole, Fainu show a great future in the forwards
Feledy was much better then last year
Such a yyoung squad but lots of potential

Top 8 2023
Probably the least experienced team the Wests Tigers have ever fielded and also one of the worst talent wise as well for a few years, but IMO that is arguably the best we have played over the last month.
-less completely brain dead mistakes
- As Ive said above, great resolve and character from the boys
- Galvin showing his is the real deal and someone to build around
- Samuela Fainu is a gun and look forward to watching him develop with Galvin and Luai.
- Sullivan good in defence (didnt think he had it in him) and some good touches.
- IMO time for Staines to drop out of the team, just provides nothing in tough metres
- Feledy didnt suck but should be third or fourth centre behind Olam, Faataape and potentially a switched on Naden.
- Im picking Ailamalo & Lobb on the wings in two weeks
- Encouraged by Matamuas performance
- Stef was good in the main
- Api is incredible
- Seyfarths work in defence was incredible. He was everywhere in defence. Good game
- Finally got a chase to challenge some of our kicks
