As for other options I hear we are pretty close with Hawkins issue is we are trying to get him for this year and souths are saying no.
@jedi-tiger I’d stick with brooks and Wakeham. Don’t really care if I don’t see Laurie in a tigers jersey again tbh. We’ve got to learn to play for 80 and cash in on our territory with the ball early.
But we need combinations all across the park to succeed aswell.

I don't believe he will be re-signed. The only person who's said he would be is you and that's just you trying to will it into existence.

He is a terrible player. Apart from having some speed he's awful at everything. Poor kicker, poor passing game, bad hands, no brains.
@loganr21 it is difficult as I would like to see Brooks at 6 I am hoping we can negotiate something with souths and play Hawkins as a 7 buy highly doubtful. Not sure about wakeham

Right now Brooks is in the best 2 halves in the club at present, etter than wakeham and Laurie abd AD injured. Unless we can land a Sezer or Dodd or Hawkins not much out there for 2024.
As far a 6's go Metcalfe may be and option and also Volkman he can't seem to get a run at warriors.
If we go inexperienced in 7' then Saunders maybe.
Either way the long service discount probably plays a factor for brooks getting a contract extension for 2024 and possibly 2025. I am hoping if he is extended it is only as a 6 and we have secured a good 7 for the club

If we re-sign him it will be the stupidest decision by any sporting team since the start of human civilisation. It will make Nofoaluma's million year extension look like good management by comparison. The only way this team is going to win games is by getting him out of this club as soon as possible. Losing is as infectious as winning and Brooks is destroying everyone around him. For the sake of everyone he has to be cut loose. Honestly i'd pay him out the rest of his contract and ask him to leave today. If we do that we'll start winning games, regardless of who we play at 7.

I'm sorry mate but I just don't think that makes any sense. If we do, we deserve for the club to fail and fold.
