im numb as tbh… Our captain just resigned until the end of 2026!! Had a lead at half time then…. Jack shitWell, that's consecutive Spoons. Anyone else numb to following a poor side?
Losing really used to rattle me, it's almost comical now.
I’m nearly finished with this mob
next year can't be any worse guys
is there an 18th team coming in 😎🤓😝😜🤪🤨🤨🤨🤨next year can't be any worse guys
What the hell was that at the end when Stef is held a metre out from the line and a dragons player is literally lying on his legs with his arms wrapped around his legs and the ref waits 5 mins before telling Stef to relpay the ball?
I seriously think if Marshall made himself available this season… we’d not have the spoon locked away. And I’m not a Marshall fan 🤷♂️. I’ve nearly had enough of this mobnoAnyone else think it will Brooks & Laurie in the halves next week?
can Laurie play any 7 ? potential for next year maybe ?
What makes you say that Logan? between Wakeham, Laurie and Smith who are available Laurie seems to me the best option. Genuinely interested in your reasoning.
Thats what the said at the beginning of this year and hear we are 17th, worst than last year.next year can't be any worse guys
Yes, it'll be a proud achievement if it happens. To win back-to-back wooden spoons and finishing lower on the table in the second year. Sheens can use it as a banner on flyers for his new demolition business. Freakish talents that man.Thats what the said at the beginning of this year and hear we are 17th, worst than last year.next year can't be any worse guys
First game I've watched in a while - didn't bother watching a few of our recent losses (especially the Cowboys game).
The regression in this team is remarkable since the last game I saw. Clunky, poor discipline and many look to have lost confidence. In that I would include Toa and Jnr - who should have just backed himself and ran over the top of their fullback on his second clean break.
Interestingly the player who showed the most commitment and confidence was Daine, and he had a very good game.
Has losing Brooks made that much of a difference?
I think the game that Daine Laurie played last night poses a few interesting questions.Firstly, the whole vexed issue of our halfbacks has probably been the greatest bone of contention and furore in this club for the last 5 years at least, and ongoing, but with the departure of Luke Brooks and the Fainu signings at least there lies the potential for meaningful change, but to what point do we clear the decks?I believe Laurie showed last night that he can be a valuable asset to our playing stocks and was always bewildered as to why he was never given a shot in close, given the ball skills he displayed while playing at fullback. It seems strange to me(almost as strange as the decision to offload Jacko Hastings),why Daine was at the very bottom of the pecking order.
I’ve no idea how or who makes the final call on these decisions in the inner sanctum, but I’m well sure of the fact that the contingency plan this year left our cupboard bare of halfbacks which in my view is primary cause of our lamentable status in the here and now.So my ultimate question is are we going to let Daine Laurie, now a player with a degree of experience, sail out the doors and back into the Panther fold for meagre dollars? If we’re to allow that,I’d think it a myopic and stupid decision.I believe we have to at least keep the cupboard semi-stocked otherwise we’re engaging in the racket of repeating our greatest errors.I think Daine displayed in all facets of his game last night, that he should be at least part of the contingency plan into the future.
I agree. Imagine how Starford would have gone outside Laurie getting all of that early ball.I think the game that Daine Laurie played last night poses a few interesting questions.Firstly, the whole vexed issue of our halfbacks has probably been the greatest bone of contention and furore in this club for the last 5 years at least, and ongoing, but with the departure of Luke Brooks and the Fainu signings at least there lies the potential for meaningful change, but to what point do we clear the decks?I believe Laurie showed last night that he can be a valuable asset to our playing stocks and was always bewildered as to why he was never given a shot in close, given the ball skills he displayed while playing at fullback. It seems strange to me(almost as strange as the decision to offload Jacko Hastings),why Daine was at the very bottom of the pecking order.

@the-last-ronin I recall from the commentary on channel 9 last nightGus Gould said, its amazing how many tries are scored when the ball hits the ground. My thought was that we should have scored 5 tries by then as they seemed to pass the ball to no one or behind the players more often than it went to hand.
Not a preferred attacking play.
