Sack Sheens. Now before the season is well and truly done and dusted.

Is it Sheens or Marshall?
Who is directing and overseeing this attack?
Is Sheens just the figurehead ala Joe Biden?

Punt them all I say and get Dessie in.

I'm more interested in who is the "real" US President if Biden is just a figurehead IN YOUR OPINION.

I don’t know, but it’s surely not that dottering old fellow.
He struggles to realise where he is most days and when he speaks off the cuff the detail of his thoughts lays bare a convoluted grasp of most issues and that’s being nice.

I would suggest he's at least 4.7 light years ahead of Trump in being an honourable, honest and decent leader of the free world. Despite his age. You?

I would suggest you are well mistaken in stating this guy is honourable, honest and decent, irrespective of any comparisons with Trump. I would also suggest he wouldn’t be out of place in a dementia ward.

If you're suggesting Hasler as a solution, I'd suggest you're a better candidate for a dementia ward than Biden.

OK tough guy, we are playing the man are we?

I suggested Des because of his proven track record for taking on head coaching roles at struggling clubs and turning their fortunes around.

In 2003 Manly were a basket case. We actually beat them on the ladder. Enter Des for season 2004 and after some soul searching and hard work, Manly made the finals in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 after last playing finals in the mid to late 90's. He made three Grand Finals during this time - 2007 where he was cheated out of the title by Melbourne, 2008 where he got revenge over Melbourne 40 - blot and 2011 where he beat the Warriors. The guy spent 8 years there, making the finals 7 times, the GF 3 times - for two premierships.

In 2012 he went to the Bulldogs and turned them around after they missed the last couple of finals series. The dogs made the finals in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He made 2 Grand Finals during this time - 2012 where Melbourne done them and 2014 where Souths got them. The guy spent 6 years there, making the finals 5 times and the GF 2 times.

In 2019 he returned to Manly and again turned their fortunes around, taking a team no one really rated to the finals. The Sea Eagles made the finals in 2019 and 2021. The guy spent 4 years there, making the finals twice.

Dessie has an amazing wealth of experience, playing 289 first grade games in the NSWRL and ARL competitions over a 16 year career, 12 State of Origin games, 20 Tests for Australia and 28 games in the English competition. Additionally, he has coached 489 games over an 18 year career at two clubs and won 56% of them.

Now tell me again why its imbecilic to suggest he would do well here?

Des would have been a better option than Sheens. Too bad the two clowns in charge were like a dear in headlights or should I say more like teenagers star struck, when it came to Sheens. Absolute rank amateurs in charge of the organisation. Sheens should have kept to pathways, that’s what he’s really good at. Unfortunately we are stuck with consequences now.

I appreciate you were so aggrieved of my comment to post such a thorough response. YOU suggested I was mistaken in my opinion of Biden. Why is that not playing the man, tough guy? YOU were the one who proposed a dementia ward as the best place for POTUS. Not me.

And, if you choose to label dementia sufferers as imbecilic, that's on you, not me. Tough guy.

This line of conversation has gone far enough, discuss the issues all you like but keep the personal stuff out of it, I'd suggest leaving the politics out as well. There is a reason we do not have a politics section on this forum.

Thanks Guys

First of all, I never once attacked you. I made comment about whether Sheens is pulling all the strings at the club, coaching wise. I don’t think he is. The comment about Biden and dementia is based in reality. I have unfortunate and intimate knowledge of this area.
Playing the man would be me attacking you. I never did that until you got on your high horse and attacked me. Of course I don’t feel aggrieved at your comment. I simply believe if you are going to argue a point, bring ammo. You didn’t. You just tried to attack me. My reply was aimed at informing you why I suggested Hassler would go well here. Your subsequent reply ignored every fact and point made and continued to attack me.

@Garry, I didn’t think this forum was like this. Is there a block function? This guy clearly does not want to debate football.

Well said Garry.

Let's keep this place supportive and open to different opinions.

I have a feeling is going to be a tough few weeks, so we need to be here to support each other.

This place isn't like that mate, which is why I have asked for it and expect it to stop.

Unfortunately at this stage there isn't a block function.

Yes, I agree as well. I note the comments of mods about leaving politics out of comments and I think that is a great idea, @tucker.
