This is a bottom four side.
@joel That was apparent last week , I suggested bottom 4 that was my feeling from he start of the season . Not only is there no depth Marshall is way out of his depth as shown how the team has been prepared over the last 2 games . The start of the season was fools gold once it got tough it was always going one way !
Jock will be out as well with hamstringGame goes from bad to worse Taylan will be gone for year shoulder surgery.
One word
Administration
Administration is going better than the team on the field!
Never thought I could utter those words!
One word: energy
We had none. We were killing it over the first two months of the season due to our intensity on and off the ball. That has completely disappeared, so not a surprise that we've been lapped three weeks running.
The bye will help, but there needs to be some review of the preparation as well.
The 6 man benches don't help either. So many of these guys now playing big roles have missed full weekends due to being the 5/6th man on the bench. Not a surprise that they're lacking match fitness.
I missed whatever happened to Taylan and his shoulder injury, but he was very ordinary today. Sad, though, if he's sidelined for the rest of the year.
The lack of genuine depth was on show again today. And, those who we needed to be at their best, I'm referring to you Luai, were, yet again, passive and underwhelming. This is a shadow of the team over the first 6 rounds. Why....? I'm not sure.
One word - natural.
We have returned to our natural place...the bottom 9.
One word: Devoid
We were devoid of energy, resilience, connectivity and direction.
Hope and Mason are Cup players and should return back. It's evidently apparent that AD is the common denominator in the halves.
Under difficult conditions, young Ethan Roberts performed great on his debut and hope he's in the rotation going forward.
Its been a while since i posted and I feel the need to use two words - Depth / Transition
We desperately need depth players if we are going to be a genuine chance for the top 8. We are relying on the younger players to provide actual 1st grade depth but they are either not good enough too inconsistent or not up to it physically at this stage of their career.
A couple of years ago the players that took the field the last 2 weeks would resemble our full strength team. We've now built a 1st grade team that at full strength is top 8 quality, however our current circumstances are highlighting that we're still a club transitioning from being 3 time wooden spooners.
We're in the next transitional phase of the club now where we are retaining a core group of quality 1st graders but we really need to make sure we now retain the players below that and developing them to the point where they are 1st grade ready when called upon. I think we are on the right track for the future but im afraid with our injury toll its looking too late for this year. I really hope im wrong!
