Dogs' second stringers are better that WT's second stringers. That's about all I took from it.
I won't activate my "Sack Marshall" topic just yet.
On the eye test, players that I liked the look of:
Skelton (this guy is going to be a great buy, exactly what we have been missing)
kit (run hard and straight, somewhat mistimed some of his runs but again a point of difference)
Galvin (again, something different - can run or kick or pass. Really looking to seeing him play second fiddle though as at the moment he is our only attacking threat)
guys who I think aren’t going to make it
Matamua - this guy continues to collapse down the pecking order
feledy - willing but too small
Mason - can’t break a tackle
Faatape - just average
Guys who I want to see more of:
Tavana - elusive and athletic
brorderlou - size
Saukuru - needs to drop fat but has some size
the johansens

I think you’re on the money with the four that won’t make it. All NSW Cup I reckon.

The difference was the Dogs forwards a class above .. bigger -stronger -faster . This is the Tigers Achilles heal this season IMO a few injuries and cactus !
That game shows our depth is still lacking. Some of the kids or Massey cup guys look better than the more experienced NSW cup guys.
Skelton was impressive.
Felt we were pretty slow and passive for the most part - outworked by the dogs.
End of the day it's irrelevant and all about getting match fitness and avoiding injury.

You can add Lobb to the list as a NSW Cup player as well.
My one word = par.
Both line ups similar quality. We could have won, they did but only narrowly and off our mistakes.
Refereeing still rubbish, but nice to see some proper play the balls.
Kit has a great engine, played big mins and was full of energy. Skelton is a keeper and fataape is clueless in defence. Lachie needed to give latu more space. Latu needed to step up and control the attack. I liked the look of Sakuru and borderlow.
My one word is potential. There are some decent kids coming through the ranks who should put some pressure on the top 17.

I thought Sakura looked better as a middle than a centre. He kept coming in for a lot of work and consistently had an impact.

What did we make of Sione Fainu on the edge. I thought he went pretty well and looks fitter than last couple of seasons.

One word - Clunky
All too familiar ‘one word’ explanation of this mob.One word - Clunky
On a side note … where was Klemmer today?
probably wanted to showcase his wares and the team focused too much on one off the ruck hit ups, so he had to come in to get any ball. I would have liked to see a bit of ball movement in attack, the halves very rarely dug into the line...we also need to figure out how to dismantle a rushing defensive line...Lachy did it a couple of times out wide. A few grubbers behind the line when we are in the attacking 40 would put them in two minds. One off the ruck hit ups through the middle will not do it.Kit has a great engine, played big mins and was full of energy. Skelton is a keeper and fataape is clueless in defence.
