Full strength team there is no way we are not playing Galvin at 6. His fitness and ability to work with the edges is something that for now makes him an obvious choice. I really want to see more or Latu just playing first receiver in attack as a genuine run/kick/pass option and then allowing Luai and Galvin to play right and left 6. The challenge for him will be to defend in the middle. He is not small and has good contact and experience defending in the middle when he comes on as a backup 9. It can work.

Think about the way the Panthers attack you have a 1st receiver in Yeo as a playmaker (minus the kicking) than you have Cleary as a dominant second receiver and Luai as the more classical 6. This worked well for Panthers as they really have 3 quality ball players...upside is that Yeo is a big body and can cover the role in defense , Whilst Latu is a solid defender I have not yet seen him defend in the middle for an extended period his numbers on the weekend were 33 mins, 11 tackles no misses...not a bad return however you would expect closer to 20 tackles in that period playing 13.....only thing is I'm not sure he was playing 13 the whole time he was on...there was a period where he may have been playing center when Turuva was off for HIA. Other option is you shift Bird to the middle in defense and Latu plays wider...I'm sure there are clever ways to make it work...Benji should be bold and utilize all the tools he has at his disposal, latu being one of them.

That was a very tough loss, one of the worst in memory. Not sure why, but it's like somebody died at my house. We are just way too invested, it's not good for our health.

I feel the same, just sad and flat after that loss and it isn't because of the performance of the team, it's the refereeing and the injuries. It can be a such a cruel game sometimes.

Should be a fun pod tonight.

Just watched a replay of the Cronulla/canterbury game and the play the ball holding down/lying on the tackled player was minimal compared to our game and yet our ref has got another gig this week. There is no repercussions for poor performance or there are limited alternatives
