Minute 23, 28,38, 64,67,78. We competed quite well in the grind for 20/25min to begin each half and then got blown out in a couple of segments where the panthers had good possession and momentum. There is a positive in that but it’s also diabolical that Benji though we could outcompete the Panthers playing panthers-ball.

If no one points it out, how can you be expected to learn and adapt, such that others might take you seriously?I'm amazed by the capacity of @Tiger5150 to lower the standard of contributions here in 2 short weeks. I think he/she/it has confused this forum with that other WT forum. But, if he/she/it has never tried it, I suggest they give it a go, they'll be right at home there.

One word - suffocated.
Penrith were relentless. Strong line speed, plenty of numbers in the tackle, great kick chase and hardly no mistakes.
we just couldn’t match them. Our line speed and intensity just cannot match theirs.
Canterbury did the same to Manly today.
Not sure I agree with the tactics to try and match them. Trying to disrupt their rhythm, early kicks and shifts might work better against Penrith. They just eat up one outs. Easier said than done!

On what basis?
They are literally on the same basis as us after 21 rounds, they fought off a spoon last year, their highest paid player and their only established spine player is 30yo with massive injury history. Their biggest signing has been a 20yo Tigers reject.
History, we’ve not touched finals in 13+ years and in that time they’ve been pretty consistently in the top half of the comp.
OK so not Jason Ryles?
The jury is out on Ryles, but he has had a better apprenticeship than our coach imo.
