Just watched the post match press conference... Noddy doesn't look comfortable, nor presents like a first grade coach should. I guess he's new to it and hard to know what to say after another lacklustre performance. Hastings on the other hand talks and presents like a captain. Would prefer AD as captain once he's in the starting line up (next week?), but Hastings is a massive improvement from Tamou.
Laurie is not going great at fullback. He's too small/light and makes no impact on the line. Why we pass to him to hit up when we're stuck on our own try line is beyond me?! He hasn't really added much spark or x factor to our attack. I know he's young... But will he fill out that much next year?
For having played such limited minutes this year I thought Doueihi was very good. It should put the argument to bed about if he’s our 6 moving forward as he’s far better than Brooks and Hastings.
Brooks should be in reserve grade next week as he isn’t one of our two best halves and isn’t good at dummy half.
Hastings looks lost out there. Not the player we thought he’d be.
debutants played well, thought Pole in particular was good. He should be there for the rest of the year
Ken and Joe O were both solid and never stopped trying.
Toa is hopeless
Musgrove and Seyfarth - yikes
We need a full top down rebuild.
Agreed with Hastings, Ken, Joffa and Pole.
@voice_of_reason Got to stop blaming the forwards they played pretty well today . Attack starts at the ruck the fact that the halves are being butchered to accommodate for one player just disjoints all movement , the centres seen no decent ball today . Again this is a team that has no idea what’s happening when they have the ball and that goes to coaching or lack of it .. this team has had 2 weeks to organise some type of attacking structure but once again ZIP . Unfortunately at the Tigers it’s who you know it was always going to be a dogs breakfast with Noddy and Farah in the box , Gardiner had the runs on the board and should of been promoted to interim coach but that’s how it rolls at this club . Hopefully the Noddy/Farah power coaching team can devise a game plan that produces something better than 5 up and kick HOPEFULLY!
I agree with you, but Brooks was not at 6 for 50mins today. Hastings was terrible, AD was OK running but his playmaking was terrible (as expected after a long break). An inconvenient truth, Luke Brooks is our best 6.
I find it quite difficult to believe you actually watched todays game and arrived at that conclusion, sounds like confirmation bias to me.
AD was our best half today, better than Hastings and miles better than Brooks.
doesn't matter who are in the halves we lack attack and are terrible
AD has looked far better with the ball than Hastings and Brooks. His kicking game is also superior.
Saying it doesnt make it real. IMO we looked flat as with AD at 6 and the kicking was no better. When Brooks wen tto 6 late in the game and AD to 4, suddenly looked sharper.
Respectfully, that’s absolute rubbish.
Our attack looked sharp from 20:00 to 60:00?
AD's kick put them under pressure? Most of AD's kick were caught 20+m out. These are facts.
Seyfarth and Kelma make a lot of stupid mistakes during the most crucial periods of a game.
Good thing Kelma is off to Manly next.
Seyfarth should be told he needs to find another club also.
Toa is a reverse grader offers nothing.
Daine is a number 6 or 14 he is not a fullback, we need to go after that fullback that played for Fiji in the representative round.
Early in the season (rounds 1 or 2) I thight Kelma was going to be an international superstar. He has been rubbish. He may kick on at Manly but they are pretty well stocked for forwards.
I thought To'a has shown some strong enough momnet to be a first grader in this rubbish field. Daine is struggling well but not an elite FB.
The player I’ve been most impressed with this year is Joffa, and I hope he is able to see what the club is trying to achieve and strive toward with it’s future and sticks around for the long hall.

You realise you are arguing about who our best half was in a game that we didnt score a try? In which AD was 6 for 2/3's of the game?

Agreed 100%.
I wish we weren't the team that played the Warriors today.
The sacrifice that club and team made ove rthe also 3 years, they should be acknowledged and thanked much more by the NRL, all clubs and fans. Without their contribution, the NRL would of fell over.
Plus ttheir long suffering fans have missed don't on footy for 3 years. And follow a club with so much potential which never gets realised (sounds familiar)
I just wished it wasn't against us, so I could of enjoyed the moement for what it was.
Top 8 2023

I’m not arguing about anything, anyone who watched the game today could see that AD had a good game especially given his lay off with injury.
@tiger5150 If that’s the case Brooks needs to play 6 end of story .. AD plays centre ! This ridiculous situation that there has to be a spot for Brooks is a joke . One day someone at this club will grow a set and actually start being forthright and make decisions for the betterment of the team not just to appease someone’s ego!
@tigerlily well I had high hopes for To’a but it doesn’t seem to be working out. Think he’d be better playing wing tbh. Don’t know about ‘reverse grade’ though 😂😅and I agree that the second incarnation of a Daine Laurie is spirialing downwards. Watched that Fiji fullback close in their game too and he was solid.
Too many people judging our backs and spine when you need to win the forwards battle in rugby league. I challenge someone who has played the game to dispute that. Halves and outside backs just don’t feature when your forwards get rolled.

Really? He played almost exclusively 5/8. Any TA's, any LBA's, any forced errors with kicks, any forced drop outs, any kicks that landed in the oppositions 10m?
Good game? He had a good game if he played centre.

Agree with you 100%. IMO Brooks is our best 6 (doesnt make him a GOOD 6) but if you are not going to play him there, I dont disagree, drop him and use Simpkins at 9 because Brooks is not a 9.
I suspect many will start to understand how much clean up defence he does however.

Look mate AD could have had three tries, four forced drop outs and five LB assists and you would still insist he had a bad game so it’s pointless debating it.
in truth neither Hastings or Brooks did any of these things either and haven’t for weeks but you go ahead with slaughtering a player whose hasn’t even played a full game since being out for almost a year with injury.
