Yes we were rolled in the middle. The south’s pack will always do this when they get plentiful ball and get in the front door. Their packs’ size and mobility and zip from dummy half makes it very hard to wrestle back momentum once they get a toll on.
We capitulated through fatigue at the back end.
BUT, one significant reason they were able to do this was due to them getting the 50/50’s. most significantly the knock on from the ruck that was missed, eventuating in south’s attacking our line rather than defending their line. This obvious blunder was inexcusable and totally changed the momentum of the game.
And it happens all the time.
We couldn’t react to that momentum swing and we never came back. Sure we should’ve better BUT we shouldn’t have had to deal with that situation in the first place.
Refs were poor, but not controlling the ruck was always going to bite us at some point. We did very well to be leading at halftime.

The number of incorrect calls against us was just mind boggling. It was in the double digits. You can’t win against that.

Yeah it was bad, but we weren't going to win anyway.

There are issues around player fallouts at two NRL clubs as pressure builds over poor form in recent times. Players live in each other’s pockets for 10 months of the year and this is not uncommon. However, a five-eighth and a hooker at one club are barely on speaking terms. At another club, a halfback and a winger don’t get on – and it’s the talk of the team. We will keep you posted.

Looks like Hastings and Nofo ?
Douhie doesn't strike me as the type of personality Hastings would gel with at 6 but wait and see i guess
With the chairman’s obsession with Nofoaluma this could get ugly.
From the Daily Telegraph......Seriously,to draw any conclusions from that pitiful publication? And Helmesy, that comment is a little below the belt in reference to Noffa and the Chairman don’t you think?

How is it that we get a ‘Sutton ‘ nearly every 2nd week… whether it be a referee or in the bunker. It’s seriously deflating!! But I’m totally sick of the same shit week in week out.
Having said that our forwards don’t react to adversity very well.

I don’t think below the belt, there’s a track record there with Nofoaluma appearing to get special treatment from Lee.

We were never going to win that game. We hung in there for a while but our front row was ordinary from the start. No go forward and no creativity from dummy half.

When you referred to Lee’s “obsession”with Noffa is all I’m saying.I honestly don’t know what the track record is.

Yup I agree with you, especially with our dummy half play. I must say Simpkins delivery is on song but creativity is lacking. But anyways who’s for a mad Monday celebration??

Yeah we lost the game through the middle.

According to Eddie, I have jinx him. I have a feeling he may have come back a little early and under done.

The refereeing was terrible and continueally setting us back in that second half. Its a simple thing but at the play the ball after Souffs kicked it out when the souffs player pulled it out of Joffas hands. When is that not a penalty. Continual. THe strip on Naden, the ball never left Nadens hands/arms and they just give it to Paulo?
Having got that off my chest, we just got beaten by a much better side tonight. Our pigs got smashed and we were continually on the back foot. For all the deification if Jackson Hastings, he was rubbish tonight and when things were tough Brooks was the one continually trying to pull something out. THe two out on the full are unforgivable but other than that I thought Brooks was our best. Laurie, Naden and Ken good as well.
Sick and tired of opposition players jogging through a weak tired effort by Musgrove as Walker did.

That is my biggest problem with Musgrove, we really missed Twal tonight.

I don’t think Hastings body language has been crash hot the last two games either.
I’m not sure he’ll hand around to see his reputation rinsed by the bludgers around him.
Did you see him talking to the players pregame in the sheds? Looked pretty committed and everyone was focused on him.
And he was looking at the ref when Graham runs over him from dummy half
