@tiger5150 to be honest I’m a little worried about our halves next year. I’m starting to agree that AD isn’t a 6. Brooks is absolutely useless and Madden isn’t up to it. Hastings has to be at 7 and we need to try and find a 6 somewhere. Hopefully Sheens has a target.

I still think Brooks is the best 6 at the club. Would be very happy for Sheens to sign better.

I’d like to see what Laurie could do in the 6.

Tiny body and would weaken fullback taking him away from that spot.

@jedi-tiger as much as I don’t want to see us get the spoon…. I’ve got some money riding on us to do so. I really think that tackle on Hastings will get us the spoon.

Were we significantly outclassed. Sharks are a good side, we are not. They pumped our middle badly first half.

For me there were some positives. We didnt throw the towel in. We kept turning up in that second half.

For mine Laurie had a great game.

Naden is possibly my new favourite player. Some bad errors but how long since we have had that level of effort and pace. He seriously had a crack and it looks like it means something to him. Glad we have extended him. (Hated him at Panthers).

Kepaoa and Roberts had some brief moments.

OK, let me start by saying no halves can play well when the pack is getting pushed back, but our halves were next level useless today. Even when we had some brief moments where we pushed through the line, Madden and Doueihi were nowhere to be seen. Madden made a few good tackles and missed a few. Doueihi is a myth.

Joffa is a treasure that we should cherish the way he consistently puts in. I really hope we can extend him.

Im back to packing Kelma's bags for Manly, Garner played well.

Starting props dont have it in them. Pole was great.

Brown tries hard.

Peachey should never play for us again.

Dias and Fairbairn are reserve graders who looked like they appreciate their crack at 1st grade and tried hard accordingly. They are still reserve graders.

TBH, Im impressed, grateful and surprised that it doesnt look like they have completely chucked it in.

I think that’s a pretty fair appraisal 5150,with a couple of minor objections.I thought Dias showed some strong running, laid the platform for the Garner try and tried hard defensively as did Freebairn. In truth we’re severely depleted, running on empty but still trying to raise an effort.Listening to Dan Ginnane’s commentary on Fox was nauseating where he kept mentioning the plight of the injury ravaged Sharks. Please!Blocker Roach was equally unkind but that’s not unusual. Also a lot of inequity displayed by Ben Cummins,he gave them license to lie all over us,but having said that we found it very hard to put them on the ground.

He’s pretty tough, I think he could handle it. Then we go to market for a new fb.

Cronulla to their credit executed winning over a bottom of the table side with little left to play for.

I feel we still show spirit and unity but Hastings direction is sorely missed.

Any attacking flair the two very inexperienced halves may have is just suffocated behind a forward pack that cannot get over the advantage line.

I would like to see AD be more strategic with his bombs.

After sets of sixs where they can be landing around 10m zone with plenty of kick pressure.

If we are in our half Madden need to be kicking for corners with distance to try and control more of the territory battle.

On a postive note I think the club deserves praise for giving regional people access to NRL.

Amongst the 10000 strong would be many who would otherwise not get the chance to experience elite RL live.

Understand its a smaller ground but always looks good when the house is full so congratulations to club on that achievement.

The middle was overrun and out muscled last night, it was evident from the opening whistle. The side is missing a few key forwards, but still the roster needs some additional quality for next season.

Losing Jacko is a bummer that’s crippled preparations going into next season. The side is one dimensional, clunky and rudderless without him.

We really could have done with further road testing Jacko at lock and playing that expansive, up-tempo game. It would have provided insight into how the other pieces fit, particularly the make up of the pack, bench and it’s rotation. Rotation of the props in particular will be important next season if Jacko plays lock.

Api and Jacko running the side gives hope for better times ahead, but the roster still requires some critical tweaking.

Noticed very early on our right side defence was not moving up (at all!) Not sure why.

I agree with a few on here, Peachy cannot and should not be in the 17.

Laurie was good! Again mentioned on the pod a few times but up the middle is his go. Using his footwork and speed around tired forwards, sniffing for offloads and attacking an unstructured defensive line. Dias had a go. Pole should be in the 17 every week in 2023.

Like mentioned on the pod. Hastings has to be number 1 priority and captain for 2023. He is just a natural born leader. I like Doueihi however not sold on him being captain.

Still like what AJ has to offer and think he can only continue to improve with more time at centre. I don't think To'a makes our best 17 next year.

@jedi-tiger the titans still have to win one, but have a better draw than us. To be honest if Jacko didn’t get injury we’d probably finish as high as 12th. He must be signed up asap but as a 7. Free Bain could handle 13 next season.

Jacko won't be in the 7.

@loganr21 think Hastings is too slow for 7

if we had beaten the cowboys we would avoid the spoon for sure.
