It was a historic day yesterday for the Wests Tigers with the coaching saga coming to an end.
The Wests Tigers announced the return of four-time Premiership-winning coach, Tim Sheens for the next two years.
Benji Marshall will work as an assistant during that tenure, then take the reins for at least the next three years from 2025.
To discuss these big announcements we went live on Wests Tigers Radio with Joel Helmes being joined by the full team – Eddie Otto, Garry Watson, Declan McCutcheon, and Steve Stretton.
Some of the main points discussed:
- Is it a case of jobs for the boys?
- How will the club benefit?
- Are Sheens and Marshall the best people to bring through the next generation of players?
- What if it doesn’t work out?
We also take a look at contract news regarding Jacob Liddle and Oliver Gildart.
There’s an update on injured Tiger, Tommy Talau.
And we take a look at this weekend’s game against the Origin-depleted Panthers.
It’s a massive edition, we hope you enjoy it!
Where do these appointments leave Brett Kimmorley..?
Probably back in the pathways system.
Thank you. I hope he does stay at the club, I am impressed with his confidence and optimistic attitude.
