Set Yardage
The worst thing for me today was the lack of yardage on sets as you guys have already touched on...what was it? Avg of 30 odd metres a set?
Wind behind us and we couldn't even get into their half in that second half! Was so demoralising as it has been for a long long time.
Where do you find BIG Metre eaters!?! If feels like they go to every club but us.
Is there a lack of coaching/teaching the techniques on how to best gain yardage & what to look for in defensive patterns?
Is it poor Trainer Player strength and conditioning?
I just don't get it....I can't think of our last big metre eater to use to pull us out of trouble. Who was it?
Sh*t Refereeing again
Yes! and those refereeing decisions on the break towards end of the first half was absolutely disgusting. If we had done it to them or any top 8 side, we would've lost a player to the bin for sure.
I am absolutely convinced there is an unconscious bias against the bottom sides whether the NRL like to admit it or not.

We need to hear less of him (and Pascoe) not more. IMO the best thing the board have done is appoint Sheens. There is nothing Lee could or would say that would be right.

Probably too late in the pod to bring it up, but would be interested in you guys discussing the tactic of moving Brooks to 9 and Madden to 6. IMO it was the point where we went off the boil. Nu Brown apparently tore up in reggies.
It’s all and good to say to throw the ball around in attack. BUT we still need to DEFEND a whole lot better!! Haven’t seen us defend well in years.
