Defence was great but on occasions line speed is still an issue. Wabbits had a couple of easy meters sets as a result. Is this tiredness or just a lack of concentration at times?

We have a goal kicker.. discuss the effects of going up by 6 rather than 4

What are the areas we can still improve upon?

On triple m today James Graham said WT finally looked like a Madge Macguire Team, with efforts like liddles chase and the fg charge down.

Nofa said in the post match that we don't give up thats the wests tigers spirit.

Madge has promised this turn around has been coming. And I don't think you can put it only down to Hastings.

Madge has played the long game, by weeding out the eggshell brigade and keeping a largely young and inexperienced roster, but one that would buy into madges character.

While it meant we had an up and mostly down year last year - we now have a squad who are all in for each other and the coach. With the adversity of the last 2 months making them even stronger and tighter.

What's your thoughts?

Particularly keen to hear from those who have bagged out madge for saying 'just need to trust in the process, work harder and things will turn'

😉

It might be a good idea to accept that madge has people coming back around rather than call them out on that :p, as I am coming around and willing to give him the rest of year but still have concerns

Nominate your top 3 key points from last nights victory

Effort- eg. Liddles chase.

Application- 2 Not completed sets, 1 of which was a dropped contested bomb by centre come fullback.

Resilience- Souths took lead twice, and leveled up late.  Hastings and Madden missed field goals. Heads didn't drop.

Ladder Position Up to 13th, 12th if Dragons lose by 6+,  who would have guessed that 2 weeks ago.

Composure.. Coming from behind twice ..owning the big moments that mattered.

Pressure.. Absorbing Souff's 1st 20mins  scored against with 12 men then defending ourselves with 12...applying our own Pressure with repeat sets

Next man up.. Short turnaround ..late changes pre-game and during (Laurie) everyone in the team performed..

I agree that it actually looks (over 2 weeks)  like Madges rhetoric is actually starting to come to fruition. Had plenty of false dawns before but voer the last two weeks we have actually put his words into action. The rest of the season will prove if it is real or not.

Let assume its real. If so, with AD, TT, Blore, AJ, to return this year and Api & Ice to join next year (albeit at the expense of LL & Kelma), things are genuinely looking up.

Could all turn to rubbish pretty quick.

I agree - could still end with no more wins for the year -

but let's hope everything has finally clicked - and they've picked up the magic dust that Ronnie dropped a few year back

So pumped to see how this team can grow over the year, particularly as we get more players pushing for spots in the top 17.

Pumped!

I'll put up my hand - that I said we should move on brooksy. I knew he was a 6 not a 7, but thought he had lost the passion.

Great to see him play like that. And I happily eat my words and have Brooks stay at 6.

I dont think it is as simple as that. Literally all year Brooks has technically been playing 6 with 7 on his back. Like every other team, we have played left half and right half and on the two or three times that one half paid to the other, Brooks was always second receiver....but what Madge has done different now is Hastings and Brooks are playing like old school halves. 7 passing to 6 on most plays.

This, along with the change to more than one option often when our forwards take it up have been the biggest changes for mine. It has also brought Laurie into the game FINALLY because the defence doesn't always know if Brooks or Laurie are getting it.

Loving it but oppositions are going to work it out quickly and look forward to seeing how we adapt. I also wonder why the hell its taken Madge 4 years to get to the point where he has made such significant changes. Maybe he needed Hastings before he changed things.

Defence is all about attitude..

These blokes have been playing Rugby League many since they were 6 years old.. They don't need to be taught how to tackle..they have played in structures all their lives..

The technics are very similar for all teams.. It's the attitude and accountability has changed simple as that.. They are beginning to trust in that..

In attack the forwards are laying a platform for the halves to do their thing, there’ s starch in their go forward.

Tamou, Musgrove and Twal have stepped up big time.

Hey boys!

Regular listener, first time LIVE listener.

I'm stunned....truly am. 3 weeks ago after the Sharkies game, I was struggling to see any kind of turnaround, let alone a win in the first 10 rounds.

I've been following the Tigers since the late 80s and I cant think of such switch to form like this since that famous [edited] 2005 turnaround.

But being a Tigers fan for so long, and as exciting this is, I refuse to get ahead of myself.

Sooo many times we've beaten the good sides (can't recall two in a row though) yet we go back to our bad habits against the poorer sides. I'm gonna bite my lip for the next couple of weeks. The players are saying the right things (Not getting too carried away with two wins, training is coming to games now etc etc).

Jackson Hastings made a difference to Salford so maybe...just maybe...this is a corner turned.

Lets see!

Feels good to be excited/optimistic about watching the boys play again week in and week out. I really hope this continues!

I think you mean famous… there was nothing notorious or abominable about it. It was fabulous…

Again some tight calls for tries/no tries

How long do you need to be tackled on the line before your held? AJ passed it about 3 days after he was tackled.

Also, for those who were there live, was Kenny offside? Looked safe on TV- would of been a try to madden
