It's a case of careful what you wish for. A 90 minute podcast is a big effort guys and plenty of topics covered here too. Thanks.

The talk about the gifted players who have played for WT brought back many memories and also as many never really reached potential here made me think perhaps we have a "Grass ceiling"?

Totally agree with many names tossed up as greats but IMO Chris Lawrence was definitely one of our best.

Now all we need is for the games to begin.

Lawerence dislocated his hip, didn’t break it. Smash his face though during training.

Yeah bad dislocation that they had a lot of trouble getting back in.

Such a shame that night he did that. Not only for his game but wests tigers as a whole. He could hardly play the ball correctly by the end and probably played 2 or 3 seasons too long.
We’ve been crulled by injuries over the years. Rowdy got a double dose when his face collapsed 😢

I really enjoyed this pod thanks guys.

I agree with everything Garry said about our right edge. I hope Jack Bird gets the job. I hope Matamua will contribute at 13 as well.

The commentary about Seyfarth was also very astute. He does try his best. He has done for the past 3 seasons but we’ve been beaten most weeks and won 3 consecutive spoons. His talent ceiling has been met and it’s time to look at other options for our NRL team if we’re to climb off the bottom.

I still think Bird’s best position for us is lock. That’s where he will be most effective. He will shore up the middle in defence, which has been a problem for us, and has pretty good link game.

I agree that his best position for us is lock, but I think he is needed more on an edge.
