Thanks for getting Darcy Byrne on, it was interesting to get a politician’s perspective on the LO issue. It seems funding for upgrades is going to be very difficult to achieve.
I wouldn’t be holding my breath. They, at the very least, need to upgrade the ground to be able to continue to use the oval for the many sports that do use the ground. I could see the arguement for $50m for boutique stadium for mostly women’s sport being something that can get funded. That’s gives you the north stand, bowl seating and facilities upgrade. That’s what you need to make the place sustainable but tigers won’t be playing more than 2 games there with that outcome IMHO.
