On this edition, we wrap up the Raiders game, look at which areas of the roster need the most attention, and should the CEO bare some responsibility for the poor performance of the football team? https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/wests-tigers-podcast-0213/

Cheers Joel, i'm going to listen tomorrow. I might get angry if i think the boys are out enjoying themselves today, as i listen to fans lament another season.

Definitely one of the most frustrating things about the club from a supporter’s point of view is the lack of clarity around the vision they have for the club. If they could sell it better then it would help alleviate some of those frustrations. If only there was a small membership committee that could sit down with those running the club maybe once a fortnight for an hour just to talk about concerns that when answered could then be communicated to the vast majority of supporters. Our club needs this. When you are as unsuccessful as we are things need to be done a little differently in terms of what is communicated to supporters of the club.

There is, the answers given back are not always the answers that the fans want to hear. I do know there are some plans to have members be able to voice their concerns to the club heirachy but we will see what comes of that.

I am considering proposing the club  to reinstate the Ask the Boss segment with someone from the Podcast as the host and ask the questions that fans and members want asked in a respectful and safe way, but I don't know how open they would be to that idea.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

@garry I was on the “members’ committee” a few years ago which would meet about once a month but it was mainly about working with the club on game day experiences. I didn’t think they continued after that year. I do worry that the club, to some extent, takes the membership/supporter base for granted sometimes. Seem content to appease with minor things rather than engaging in discourse regarding the concerns we have. I think we all just want to understand a little better why certain decisions are made or are going to be made. Interviews with key personnel would be great too at some point in the coming pre-season. You’d do that well Garry. I might email Justin & suggest that, what do you think?

Good pod as usual. My one word for this game is ‘laughable’. The whole second half of the season was one gigantic joke on the fans. Pretty disrespectful really.
