We take a look back at the Panthers game, in particular the performances of Brooks, Doueihi, and Hastings. And also take a look at the Isaiah Papali'i dramas.   https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/wests-tigers-podcast-0195/

Been working the last couple of sunday nights and missed hearing live. But just a few comments

We have to wash our hands of Brooks from this moment. Madden has to be brought in at 7 along with the experiment.
Maybe we should have 4 pigs on the bench to counter Hastings at 13. But the big question is can brown play 80? I agree with Gary that the teams balance isn’t right and that has to be rectified between now and next season.
Eddie made a point a few weeks ago of Kenny playing some edge back row or playing off the bench as. Might be another aspect to look at. Plus it would keep Tapuo in the team. And finally….

Fullback job applications are needed asap. How would Naden go there??

Naden at fullback is out of left field, has he ever played there?

Naden is a pretty big human. Not sure if he'd have the motor for fullback. Would take a lot of fitness training.

@helmesy not sure mate, but he is a bigger body than Daine. Plus he has some toe to boot. But we really need some more grunt for meterage to help these guys out.

I like your thinking Logan. Thinking about next year I agree it’s better for Brooks and the club for him to move on. If you went with Madden to replace he’d be a better option. I’d keep his game simple and make him do the short range attacking kicks which he is better at than Brooks, and then have Adam kicking long when needed and spiral bombs. But I’d prefer Hastings at half back and Adam at 5/8 myself.

If Ken isn’t a liability in defence I’d like to see him in the back row and probably off the bench. He can play both sides so that is handy.

That would free up a space for more speed on the edges. I’d like Naden at left centre and Kepoa outside him. Tupou is actually a centre so if he can cement a spot I’d play him right side with Nofa.

Daine isn’t a solution for me as fullback. I’d get him into the halves and if he can't force a spot there i'd still keep him because there will always be injuries in the halves or fullback but it’s not the end of the world if he looks elsewhere. I’d therefore give Staines the money he wants to play fullback. That guy has an x factor and he’s still very young.

@mac_tiger Unsure on Stains but if Connor Tracey was available I would be going after him.

Like him as well but Charlie has asked to come here. Plus we need a Ferrari even if its the Forbes rather than Maranello version.

We need smart players and Im not convinced of the intelligence of anyone who asked to come here....

@jedi-tiger harsh on Madden.

He may or may not make it in the NRL but his output in first grade this year has been very similar to Brooks the main difference being that Madden is still young and potentially has improvement in him.

Remember Madden played an important role in our last game that we won guys. Including a solo chip and chase try. Have not seen that from our 185 odd game veteran 🤷‍♂️

@celtic_tiger  rooks defends much better than Madden for a start.

If Madden is that good guys how come Bennet didn't come knocking for Madden, they went with O'Sullivan.

Any team in the nrl can make a play for Madden none have including us
