In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
So excited to find a new episode to listen to this morning. Thanks for pulling a team together to discuss all things Wests Tigers.
Thanks Kelly, Jordan and Rachel for bringing your fresh eyes and voices to the pod.
I see Jack Bird at #13 in 2025 and making a real go of it too!!!
Happy to help out with driving AD to Kogarah if needed. 😃

Thanks for the offer but I've already booked him an Uber 👍
Of our new signings Turuva seems to be the one generating the least amount of excitement for fans at the moment. He is surely an upgrade on most of our outside backs imo.
Anyway at least we have Jack Bird not Greg Bird!!!!!

I see him having a Sam fainu sort of season. Flying under the radar pre season but being a consistently strong performer week in week out. He was rookie of the year 2 years ago. Has potential to go large

I’m excited about Turuva!
Greg Bird would probably still go ok, tough guy that one.

Great poddy with Kelly Rachel & Jordan stepping in. Remains entertaining and thought provoking despite the lack of Tigers news at the moment.
In the good, bad & ugly segment, was surprised noone mentioned my "ugly" from this season which was fitness. Its become a bugbear of mine. At the moment we probably have the talent of a bottom 4 squad (particularly the pack) but there is absolutely no reason why we cant be top 4 fitness and in fact with the strength of our squad it is compulsory. Its just one more advantage we give our opposition.
Ive raved about it for a while but we just dont have the specialists in these positions to make it happen.
Great to listen to another pod, some interesting views as always. In regards to who I’m most excited to see of the signings I’m most excited to watch Heamasi Makasini develop over the next few years. I don’t expect much next season but I think by about mid 2026 we’ll start to see some of what he’s about. 2027 he’ll be turning 20 and have 30-40 NRL games in him & that’s when I expect we’ll see a big, powerful outside back causing plenty of headaches for the opposition. I’m not getting caught up in the media hype as I know he will have plenty to learn next year but keen to see him begin his career anyway.

Maybe he plays left centre alongside Luai?
