@tiger5150 could also be resulting from him playing on the right side. Even at NRL level teams tend to favour the right to left pass. See South Sydney.
Regardless, my view is that it is completely unfair to judge our playmakers too harshly when it is so rare that our forwards win the day. The best they do is not get overwhelmed.
In my opinion any of Brooks, Hastings and AD would succeed behind a good pack, evidenced by the fact they are always mentioned in high demand with better clubs. We should be keeping those playmakers and then focused almost exclusively on signing a great forward pack.
@garry or isolate an opponents small man on a rampaging back rower. That which we lack (Tuilagi has shown glimpses infrequently).

Problem is they have to be judged now because decisions need to be made about who our long term halves are going to be, at this point in time I don't believe that AD has shown enough to be confident he will be the 6 that we need. It is just my opinion and I know that you don't agree and I respect that.

@garry I don’t expect to change your opinion but it will sh!t me to tears watching him win a lot of games at Melbourne.
I actually think he could get away playing 6 at Melbourne, but they are a very different team to us with other players that can help cover his limitations. We don't have that at our club so need a more well rounded game from him.

@brookscoin The issue is, all our halves are free to negotiate with rivals Nov 1. So we have to make a decision on them before we have a chance to improve the forward pack, I would love to give them more time but it is time we don't have.

@garry I seen enough of them in the 6/7/13 behind a bad pack. Melbourne want AD, they don’t get much wrong down there.
hastings sounds more like a winner than anyone we’ve had since Robbie.
Brooks I’d keep on less pay as he clearly has heart/effort every week.
is it a gamble? Yes. But that’s recruitment.
Is it a BJ/Peachey/Jet/Mbye/McQueen type scenario? I think not.

I'm not much different mate, Hastings is a must sign, I'd keep Brooks for around $600k and would sign AD as a centre. If Ad proves he is a 6 down the track then I'd upgrade him but he hasn't done that yet.

@garry I don’t think we’re in a position to pinch pennies when quality players are prepared to play for us right now.
Think we need a centre to partner naden moving forward and that could be AD if he wants to stay and play centre.
Have a feeling we might end up letting Laurie go and keeping Brooks on a reduce deal.
