One word for the performance against Roosters "Douhie"
Give it a rest mate, there were 16 others involved today plus a raft of coaches.
With that pitiful performance last night by the majority of our players.
I’m thinking that getting our first ever wooden spoon might be just what this club requires to put the pressure squarely on the shoulders of the likes of Pascoe, Teflon Tim and Hagipantelis and hold them accountable for the abysmal decision making by the so called leaders/brains trust of this club
They have turned this club into a basket-case.

The end of this season will not bring any changes in that area, the changes we are going to make have already happened.

Interesting article the other week about how Payten turned around the Cowboys fortunes. The Cows finished bottom four, four years running, second last in 2021.
He was decisive in his choices around recruitment and retention, training methods, building resilience, and setting standards. He held strong in his beliefs despite the noise and skepticism.
Payten is a student of Sheens, so I think some key aspects for our pre-season will be similar, build resilience and trust, skills training and education on how to play the game.
Payten:
Payten decided his players needed to “toughen up” after their dismal 2021 campaign and he drilled them ruthlessly over a gruelling three months in the Queensland sun.
“I think the playing group had some old scars that cut deep,” Payten said.
“If I look back we probably focused on the wrong parts of our game, tried to be a fast moving team rather than actually educating on how to play the game properly.
“We needed to toughen our guys up mentally and physically and we just challenged them day after day,” he said.
“We threw some curveballs at them at different stages. We’ve got Castle Hill here - we ran up that three times without any warning.
“We got them in really early in the mornings for two reasons; to beat the heat is one and the other is to make them a little uncomfortable about time management, getting out of bed and preparing for training.
“We did a lot of contact, a lot of tackling and we just made them do things that they didn’t want to do day after day.”
“I kept reminding myself that if we got the process right, if we did the right thing during the week, and didn’t focus on the end result, we’d be fine,” Payten said.
“We were very fortunate that everyone at the club, from the top to the bottom, had an understanding of how much work needed to be done, and there was no such thing as a quick fix if we wanted to get to where we wanted to.
“At different moments a lot of players led the way.
“I thought the senior guys were really good but then we’ve got a group of competitors that they’re just tough kids: Reuben Cotter, Tom Gilbert, Tom Dearden.”
“Through our review, I’m talking about the coaches review… we watched all of the tries that we’d conceded which was not fun to view,” Payten said.
“A lot of those, I think about 60 per cent of those would come from missed tackles that should’ve been made or guys not competing enough.
“We conceded the most tries from kicks in the competition and that affected our headspace in games. We’d defend two sets and then from a guy not getting their job done or someone not competing hard enough, we’d conceded a try.
“As soon as something upset the rhythm or went against them, we didn’t have the mental or physical capacity to get on with the job.
“Just build around upsetting rhythm in different ways. Doing things that they weren’t expecting to do at different times and causing a little bit of chaos and seeing how they handled it.
“We got better as the pre-season went on.”
My word for this week is “unprofessional”. An unprofessional performance from an unprofessional team from an unprofessional organisation/club.
The winning culture starts at the office and unfortunately that’s not we are getting and it permeates all the way down through the organisation and onto the on field players. Things won’t change until the front office changes.
That record loss is squarely on Hagipantelis, Pascoe and Sheens. It happened on their watch and frankly it was their decision making that allowed it to happen. As will be the clubs first wooden spoon.
What are everyone's thoughts on Noddy since he's taken over? I can't understand why, at this stage of the season, with little to play for ladder/finals wise, why wouldn't you loosen the shackles somewhat? Encourage creativity and attacking football. Yet I feel the game play has reverted back to basic block plays and one pass hit ups. Even the games we played well against the cowboys and broncos, there was so much boring one out plays.
Selection wise, I know he's been hamstrung by injuries, but some of the team selections I'm left scratching my head.
I can't help to feel that Noddy has been left by himself on a sinking ship.
So my questions is when Sheens appointed himself Head Coach, why he didn't take on the role straight away?
There's two possible reasons -
1. Wanted to prepare for next year
2. Didn't want to be associated with this mess.
Regarding the first reason- every coach needs to coach at the back end of the year while preparing for the next. What's Sheens going to do at the back end of next year to prepare for 2024? To me this says he can't handle both the GM and Head Coach Role at once.
The second reason, is selfish and doesn't think about the fans and reputation of the club. I have strong concerns the impact that this back end of the year will have on our fan base and attracting any new signings.
What's your thoughts?

He’s a puppet. A sacrificial lamb.
My one word nobody has used yet ’INCOMPETENT’
But our captain used 2 😂😅

Very poor, no 2nd phase , very conservative, why didn’t the word go out to Brown to run the bloody ball, mix it up, out of his depth

Exactly…T’oa was awful, Naden was arm grabbing, Laurie was out of position, Musgrove was pedestrian and it goes on and on and on….
Demoralising
Monday Night is a long time to wait for group therapy session. 😭
