Nick does his best to turn his frown upside down! On episode 462 of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we cover one of the biggest news story weeks the club has had in a long time… and there’s plenty to unpack.

We kick things off by welcoming Joel, Josh & Aaron before diving straight into the big one - Jahream Bula commits until 2030. What it means for the future of the club, and why this deal feels different. What a roller coaster of emotions it has been for Wests Tigers fans in recent weeks! We also give credit where it’s due after a strong response from the club following the Luai-to-Chiefs news — is this a sign things are finally shifting behind the scenes? Then it’s all about the next generation. The Fainu brothers are front and centre with reports that the club is working to lock them all in long-term. Is this the foundation we’ve been waiting for? Of course… it wouldn’t be a Tigers season without an injury crisis! We break down the latest hits, what it means for the run ahead, and how the team can survive the next month. Plus: “50 is the new 30” — are blowout scores just the new normal? Buy, Sell, Hold (Leniu, Api, Top 8 hopes) Are the Tigers starting to slide? Let’s look at the ladder… And a HUGE match preview as we head into a clash where the odds don’t quite make sense. This one’s honest, passionate, and packed with debate. Listen now and join the conversation.

What is that old saying ..... "When you think you have enough prop forwards, buy another one?" Spencer Lenui would be a great acquisition and certainly make our current stocks fight even harder for a spot. Salary cap pressure may be the biggest problem here though. Will Pole stay on next year or move to Melbourne? Do we keep or replace Royce?

Our injury woes are going to take a lot of commitment to overcome in the coming weeks/months. Just hanging on to the top 8 while everyone recovers to allow us a better than mathematical chance at finals would be an achievement or so it seems at this point in time.

I'm as nervous as the next man about our prospects (or more to the point Melbourne's possible turn of fortune) this round but I can't tip against the Tigers and so it's Wests Tigers in a close one for mine.

Really hard one to call this one. On one hand I see us regrouping from last week. And the other I see us improving our defence but not our attack. Our record around this time of year is terrible normally. So I think it will come down to how on song the storm will be. 24-16 either way I reckon.
