I just want to start out with , good pod guys .
but I just have a few issues with some of the things said on the pod;

1. The killer instinct in reference to sportsmanship that Joel mentioned. Really all those things that the raiders did are penalty’s . And really , along with the deliberate hands in the ruck , and pushing of the boundaries of what’s “fair” that Stuart’s teams nearly always play with , it’s up to the ref to do thier job . And our lack of scoring points in the red zone is another symptom of this . Offside , hands in the ruck , holding the ball up when the ball carrier is on his feet . I mean you play to the whistle . And it never went on Friday .
you simply can’t score heheh teams are allowed to do this .
2. Latu playing at 13 is to do with hyperextending the hammy at 6 , as far as I think . at 6 you’re far more likely to do long short sprints off lateral movements to close down the spaces on the edge , putting way more stress on your hamstrings .
when you’re at lock you’re literally in the middle of the field often 6 players in from the edge . Most of the game is straight up and back running , both in defence , and attack.
If a guy can handle himself with the upper body , power side in the middle , there’s no reason why he can’t play lock . It’s the hardest re. Most physically demanding as in total volume of work , but there’s no way it would put even a little bit of the stress playing 6 would on his hamstrings .

the edges is constant sprint , run , walk sprint , pivot , run pivot , sprint … the whole match. I’m almost certain there would be sports science to back this up . But having been injured , and spent a lot of time(a year) in a rehab facility , just based on the convos I’ve had with physios , I’m guessing this is apart of his recovery .
and just in general the comments around the team being poor . That team is the form team in the comp . Way better than the dogs , warriors and storm .
and we should have beaten them . I’d argue that if the ref did his job and went to the bunker at least one of the 2 tries disallowed we would have got there.
T May said his pass was knocked down by Papalii to Fainu. Never checked.
bula touches the line . Some are arguing it’s a double movement , but he doesn’t have anyone on him when he goes again . Ball touches the line .
theres 2 tries there that they wouldn’t even think about the bunker , yet we have to cop a million replays of obvious tries/ obvious no tries .
we simply just can’t get the ball to bounce our way .

I enjoyed the discussion about Seyfarth - a nice guy who tries hard.

He is not up to it, plain and simple.

I support the call for Jack Bird to right edge which I think was from Garry. Good shout.

Hey mate, great to see you post here again. Very strong post and I agree with just about everything you have said.
