@garry

i get your point with having experience players in certain positions… but where has it got us in previous years? I really think we’ve got to go with a youth policy for a change of plan.

Well I was hoping for Hoffman because of the youth factor. Being in the development group I thought it meant a gradual step up to first grade. Now he’s gone I don’t really care but Roberts isn’t the answer.

Short answer Ogden maybe… it should be the youth year. We may get a good one!

I just think Hoffman was well down the list of potential centres in what is an incredibly weak position for the club. I would be going with who performs best in the trials and wouldn't be surprised to see Peachey or Roberts there in round one. I would love for Roberts to have a strong year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Peachey is centre but I’m hoping it’s not the case. I want him at 13 as an extra ball playing option. But for this to happen, two others have to step up considerably. I’d love to see Gildart be a revelation and Roberts have a new lease on life. Not sure how realistic this is though

I agree Steve, I’d be rolling the dice with Gildart and Roberts. Roberts was poor last year but he got zero good ball. We didn’t play to his strengths at all.

IMO Peachey has to play 13.

But when he did get clean ball he didn’t look threatening at all guys. I think he played best on the wing tbh.

@loganr21 The young players we have need some support, otherwise you are just brining them into an environment to get flogged.

I really hope a couple of the young guys can step up and take those centre spots, at this point I probably have Peachey penciled in one spot and the other vacant depending on trials. I would be telling anyone that plays centre in the club that the spots are there to be won during the trials. Best 2 players get the spots.

I can't remember one occasion when we got him the ball in his preferred position on the field.

@garry

tended to come out with flippers on too… his defence left a lot to be desired. I would probably much rather Peachey there than JTSCJ 😆
