I read a comment elsewhere that Jakiya was offered fullback money, and we already have Vette-Welsh.
This is a very poor excuse if true and extremely short-sighted.
Jakiya is already an amazing player, super marketable 'Jakiya the Flyer!' and the type of player that brings crowds to their feet and can put bums on seats. These types of players are even rarer than fullbacks!! How many years now have we been bemoaning the fact that we had the likes of Koroibete and JAC and allowed them to slip through our net.
In the context of the NRLW Jakiya can change game outcomes.
Just an appalling decision and awfully disappointing.
