Hey guys, yesterday’s match was pretty special. It got me thinking about some of the most important/pleasing victories in the club’s history.

A couple that come to mind for me:

The win over the Dragons at Kogarah in 05. This was the first game where we really clicked (and we know where this ended up).

Benji Marshall’s debut and the trouncing of the Knights at Campbelltown in 03.

Other games that come to mind for you guys?

This game very much reminded me of the easter miracle of 2005… against the dogs. Here’s a statement ‘Jackson Hasting is the best halfback to play for the tigers since S Prince’

2005 Semi v Dragons Best ever Win

2018 v Melbourne in Melbourne Slaters 300th..

2007 v Melbourne at Gosford Benji Injured Rowdy running Riot

This match for mine has to be remembered as one of our “best evers”for a lot of reasons.Firstly we are the despised underdogs yet to record a win and the subject of so much derision and mockery. As well as defeating Parra we have to overcome some of the most pitiful refereeing ever.It was an away win with a partisan packed stadium that is revved up and super loud. When we lose Jake Simpkin I think most people are justifiably thinking we’re gone.

For sheer drama though to win it in the last ten seconds, wow, total exhilaration. We release the demons and get rid of the monkey and that is evident by way the players react.Stacks on the mill.Everyone going off as well as the pressure valve!

Against that background I would definitely rate the win for the top ten showreel.Still feeling elated in the same way as was deflated over the past five weeks.

@mac_tiger yeah that game was epic because the bunnies actually kept coming back after we gaped them but we kept going up the gears and turned on the sprinklers.

I reckon our WT's record v Melbourne would put us in the Top 8 of all clubs .....for and against would be very ugly though lol

Quite a few victories from 2005 live in my memory, not from an emotional view or a defining moment but from the quality of football.

The first semi against the cowboys, great ball movement, and the try Benji set up for Hodgson off the scrum was just brilliant timing.

The semi against Brisbane, I was at the game and was blown away with the attacking structures and speed in which they changed from playing flat one play and then deep on the next.

The win on Monday pales into insignificance against the beating of all comers in the final series in 2005 that for me was the greatest game set in the history of the club .. the win on Monday was a club game against a team that took the opposition lightly a good performance yes one of the great games think not !

Funny the 2005 GF I didn't have a doubt we wouldn't win

Now we could play a park footy team and I wouldn't be wholly convinced we would win
