@tiger5150 only 2 years ago - we had strategic plan to be a strong club in the indigenous space. I'm not sure if this is still the case though, another flash in the pan.
Does anyone know if we are still partners with Akwabal, KARI and Tharawal?
And is Tahu still with us?

No idea tbh - wasn't my suggestion!
I'm happy with us having just the Easter Monday game when it comes to annual events. Public holiday, traditional rivals - if both teams are ever good at the same time it'll be absolutely massive.

Has been massive in the past and drawn over 60k

i was a fan of it at the time but at the time to me it stunk of meaningless virtue signalling fluff and seems that that is exactly what it turned out to be. We had more indigenous players back then with Roberts, Fitzbala or whatever his name was, the hypenated dude I couldnt be bothered looking up.
Im a fan of indigenous players but IMO we should have a strategic plan in the good player space regardless of culture or background.
I just get annoyed with the club for doing things for 2mins then heading into a different direction
If we are serious about something, commit and stick long term
If we aren't serious, then don't get into it in the first place.

But going back to the derby topic,
If we got a yearly event going with souths, it could be massive - as Garry said, we've had 60k before.

Agree with this, but in the case of the indigenous stuff, all of the people involved are gone. One of the guys working on it was the bloke now coaching Newcastle Womens team...Rod Jenkins?
