Woods v Maguire

The media is drumming up a rivalry between Aaron Woods and Maguire.

A report says Woods was just about across the line to return to the Tigers this year, only for Maguire to put the brakes on the move.

I know Woods stuffed it up royally when he left, but I reckon he would have been handy for us, especially those offloads he gets away.

Are you guys backing Maguire here, or did he get this wrong?

In my opinion we lack that A type dominant front rower who puts fear into oppositions and bends their line back. This ain’t good ‘ol Aaron!!

For a club that is already under huge pressure, I don't think it would have been accepted by many after the way he left. It would cause such an uproar and a distraction that is frankly not needed.

Besides that, I also don't think he is the answer to anything for us. I would rather a Pele or someone as we already have Tamou

At the right price I woukd have taken Woods he would have been an upgrade on Zane M or Tom M in front row

At full strength we could have had a prop rotation

Stef

Tamou

Twal

Woods

Aaron Woods had it all.Test,State of Origin, club captaincy.Ultimately he chose to turn his back on the WestsTigers and publicly stuck  the dagger in our back. There was not an ounce of loyalty shown.Maybe he was poorly advised but the decision was in the end all his.Ironic how his representative status evaporated after he chose to walk.

There is no prodigal son scenario here,I think Aaron well and truly burnt his bridges.

If the rumour is true I believe that Madge made the right call,as Woods is not the damaging line bender that we need.

Hopefully we can continue to see the rise of Zane Musgrove.

Yeah totally agree with you Joel. Pre season I was wondering why we didn’t pick him up. Experience is what we lack and he has that in spades. Tamou was bought for this exact reason and coming into the season hadn’t delivered. But he has stepped up and it’s really good to see.

One thing I’m still not sold on is Maguire though. I hope that he gets his bench rotation correct, because it will go a long way to us winning more than we lose in the coming weeks. I know we’re short on troops at the moment, but come on Madge!!

Woods sealed his fate with the WestsTigers when as our Captain he caused division and decent amongst the playing group by devising a player mutiny.

His a person that clearly cannot be trusted around the players when things don’t go his way.

The guy had it all when he was at the WestsTigers and he threw it all away.

Wood’s career has done nothing but taken a downward spiral ever since.

So as far as I’m concerned he should never be allowed to return to the club again.

Dora’s form dropping sharply after he left. Still goes ok but we need to look for players that are better than average.

Well they had to make up something to get the Tigers fan clicks the links. Even if was true it’s the right call. Sharon just can’t cut it anymore and we certainly don’t need a white anting leader, again.

Woods career ended when he left the Tigers .. from Captain /SOO REP to bench warmer and nomad .

Didn’t want him back playing with the club either.
