My post had nothing to do with Brooks?

But he should have because Brooks was just as bad if not worse than Liddle.

Agreed, but its doesn't need to be in every post.

Brooks is our highest paid player and will be on even more next year and so he deserves all the attention.

There is an easy way to fix it though, and that is for Brooks to perform as a 180 or thereabouts NRL gamer and not as if he is playing in the under 8s.

I would love Brooks to do well and that will stop the criticism. I’ll happily praise him if he performs.

I have no problem with him being criticised, very annoying when it is brought up to reply to a post that had nothing to do with him.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

It’s very disappointing. Had high hopes but alas they have been dashed.

He was a better bench hooker than starting hooker. I remember him coming on and making an impact either side of half-time etc.

@helmesy I think Liddle would make a great bench hooker using his dummy half running

It looks to me that he doesn’t want to be at the club anymore I think he is better than what he is showing this season.
Not saying he’s a top player just that he can play better

Winger Ken Maumalo comes into the starting side pushing Starford To’a to the centres and Luke Garner to the bench.

Alex Seyfarth and Tyrone Peachey remain part of the matchday 19.

1. Daine Laurie

2. David Nofaluma

3. James Roberts

5. Starford To'a

21. Ken Maumalo

6. Luke Brooks

7. Jackson Hastings

8. James Tamou

9. Jake Simpkin

10. Zane Musgrove

11. Kelma Tuilagi

12. Luciano Leilua

13. Joe Ofahengaue

14. Jock Madden

15. Alex Twal

16. Thomas Mikaele

4. Luke Garner

17. Alex Seyfarth

18. Tyrone Peachey

Seyfarth is the one that drops out of the 17 with Ken coming back in.

Liddle is a very good player but was very ordinary last year and this year. Maybe all those shoulder and leg injuries have caught up with him.

Wow. Well that’s one way to reverse the 5 captain policy to 2.

Glad there have been changes, but not sure it will amount to much.

Agree with @garry that I would have made brooks 14 rather than madden, although I can’t see brooks entering the game and adding any zip.

I also was very critical of liddle (and have been for a while) but my main beef is he is not an 80min hooker and just needs simpkin coming off the bench. Dropping him altogether just shifts the same burden to jake.

Liddle was very poor on Sunday.

As was Brooks. Worse than under 8 stuff. Neither of them should be anywhere near the NRL squad.

A week is a long time in footy

To his credit Brooks played very well today, albeit without the responsibility of leading the team around the park.

Club needs Luke playing well,

greatly improves teams chances to win this year and next or

can trade from a position of strength should the club decide that difficult decision is in best long term interests. (may not be).
