The reaction regarding him leaving was so over the top. I'm stoked he stayed but we had plenty of time to sign him up.

historically we don’t do well in these situations; it was rumoured to be a Christmas announcement; roosters usually get who they want; we really don’t have a lot to offer up to now.
I can fully understand the reaction by a passionate fan base.
Having said that, I’m so pleased to see we are now able to compete with signing top flight players
It was massively over the top because he was already signed for the next 2 seasons.
Great news, I wonder how big a role the fact we can upgrade him now played. Raising his salary to the $500-600k mark for the next to season would be pretty hard to turn down.
