thought I read somewhere every club will be expected to go by the nrl at some point

would hope if that is the case richo says well we take magic round as a home game so we are.not taking vegas as a home game

A bit off topic but it makes me mad that Magic round is always a home game for us and the Qld teams all had away games.

We took the money.

I'm tired of us taking the money. We should be holding onto our home games. Although, at the same time I think every team should take a home game to the country.

Agree 💯

I don't really see what the point of it is, other than a big junket for journos, who provide gushing coverage in return.

Did it make them money last year?

Any notion of genuinely breaking into the US sporting market is incredibly naive.

I think it’s about trying to get American punters interested in the game. There’s a lot for the online betting businesses to potentially gain.

nrl wants a piece of the betting turnover in u.s. particularly the vegas sports book where all betting is legal. Over in states the bookmakers pay a percentage of turnover direct to the sports organisation e.g. nfl, nhl, nba etc and nrl woukd be after the percentage of turnover for nrl games. Over in u s. points spread e.g. margin betting is a popular betting option

I’m not interested in Vegas , but how good is it, that it’s the most popular conversation and not the board these days 👏

That makes sense, given who is running the joint
