There are reports we’re going to be one of the sides playing in Las Vegas next year.
Who’s going??
Unless the NRL force us to go I think there is zero chance of that happening.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
It's bound to be a home game for us too!
The club 100% doesn't want to go.

thought I read somewhere every club will be expected to go by the nrl at some point
would hope if that is the case richo says well we take magic round as a home game so we are.not taking vegas as a home game

A bit off topic but it makes me mad that Magic round is always a home game for us and the Qld teams all had away games.

We took the money.

Hope not… I feel this would be a very bad move, so I hope the club resists. I really don’t see any upside from the Wests Tigers viewpoint

I'm tired of us taking the money. We should be holding onto our home games. Although, at the same time I think every team should take a home game to the country.
It will be interesting to see if this Vegas experiment lasts, I get the feeling crowds may diminish year on year and I doubt it will get traction in the US market. Americans love sporting events that drag on for hours, it's good for TV advertising dollars and it also means they get plenty of time to eat hot dogs and drink beer and soda....I have been to a few games over there for various sports and eating gets more focus than watching the game. The problem with NRL is its over too quickly, it's not a day out. Stoppages are limited and with the 6 again even more so, and timeouts don't exist. It's also why AFL get bigger crowds, first of all its better to watch live than on tv, as the players are spread out and the camera cannot pick them all up, and there is an ad break after every major goal. The umpire actually gets a signal that the tv ad break is over (3 green lights) and then he will bounce the ball to restart. There are also stoppages every time the ball is not in play and every quarter so you can spend half a day at the footy. I have always said the NRL needs to make Rugby League a day out. Travelling to games and paying exorbitant money for food and tickets and it's all over in less than 2 hours. I'm not condoning stoppages, rather I believe we can pick a comp, doesn't have to be KOE could be like a under 18's and promote the hell out of it, make sure it's played before every first-grade game and televised or streamed, build the profile of the teams and players and that way people can see the future potential superstars before 1st grade kicks off.

Though tickets are still available, there have been a lot sold for the day, so there still is some interest. It may or may not last, we will have to see.
And yeah the games are shorter, but that is why they are playing 4 games on the day, replaces the single long game, with 4 shorter ones. Keeps it the day out, and as such keeps the US interest.
But it really comes down to the quality of the games as to whether the interest sticks or not. If we get grinding games without anything spectacular then the interest will certainly drop off with the US audience who are being presented with images/videos of big hits and spectacular tries.
But if the Tigers have to go, I'd prefer to get it out of the way while there still is interest and we could potentially show off our club to more people to potentially gain international fans, or even sponsors, rather than being at the end of the run with no crowds or being played in some second rate stadium to have the thing run, as we all know that PVL will run it until he is ready to end it, and that will mean that every club will play over there no matter where, so he can say they did it.
Why is the club against this? I need to see reasons why not before blindly following…
Vegas in March 2027 would be perfect for the Tigers,
