Wests Tigers have a mountain to climb but not just any mountain, not Mt Pritchard or Mt Druitt, but Mt Everest. After 12 years of failing to put a plan together to even get to base camp an expedition has been put together. Coordinating the expedition is Shane “Richo” Richardson, an Everest veteran who has twice previously summited the mountain. Now fully recovered from an amputated foot due to frostbite he sees this expedition as a “last hurrah”. Should he succeed a knighthood could well be on the cards, if not from His Majesty then from the Wests Tigers faithful. His leading Sherpa Benji “Bags” (he’ll be shouldering plenty) Marshall will lead the Expedition party. This is Marshall’s first attempt as leading Sherpa but has reached the summit previously as the youngest Sherpa in the only other Wests Tigers expedition to succeed. Marshall and his, mostly inexperienced, team headed by Api Koroisau, a veteran with successful attempts at climbing Everest, will lead the Wests Tigers push. The attempt is in its fledgling stages with the party still to reach Base Camp yet with hopes of reaching the summit within 4 years, weather permitting. Good luck to all and godspeed.
To quote Richardson, “We may lose a few of our party on the way but at the end of the day it’s the price you pay for success. No more questions unless you have a membership number.”
Previous admin kept saying they were on Everest but it turns out they were unsuccessfully trying to scale the hill behind McDonalds at Leumeah.

This estimated that the expedition party will number 10000 by the time Base Camp is reached. Those numbers are expected to increase as the climb progresses. These are estimates only and are subject to causes beyond this supporters’ control.
Quite a hill that Joel. I was informed by previous management that the hill behind McDonalds at Lumeah is actually higher than Everest. I believe this assertion can be disputed.Previous admin kept saying they were on Everest but it turns out they were unsuccessfully trying to scale the hill behind McDonalds at Leumeah.

There’s a lot of rigour in that statement.
