you could argue it’s a weaker squad
@mickb Galvin is 6 feet 2 , and lanky with speed . What concerns me about him is as you say , how will that translate and into what role . He’s got his top 30 spot because he’s best junior in his age group , if in this country , then I don’t think hyperbole to say in the world . But that’s all manager nonsense especially with Moses behind the scenes . But you’re right he needs to hit the gym , and wait 2 years top 30 spot or not .
Feledy has it all in front of him , his issue will be reading the defence at the speed that an NRL attack will hit him. If he can’t do it , then no amount of attacking skill will get him an nrl contract after the age of 24. I have faith . He could be Bradman best 2.0. It’s all student of the game stuff now for him . It will be a waiting process .
Miller could be anything . We will all wait and see with him . Bear in mind that Stefano , whilst playing 1 game with the eels , was basically in Millers shoes a couple years ago .
With Olam now here , if we can jag one more outside back , I’m ok with that .
That will be , just say we jag another winger , from round 1 this year a whole new backline , from the one that took the field round one . Funnily enough , maybe Staines might get A run .
Bula Staines Toa Olam Tupou Fainu Sullivan (I reckon Sezer won’t make the first grade team . And will be in KOE cup, because he was beaten out)
When you look at it like that , We desperately need an old head in the backline . One we can rely on anyway …
Nofa is living proof of my Maturity not experience theory
Triston Reilly release. Charlie Staines re-signed until the end of 2025.
Exciting that we only have 21 contracted players for 2025 (20 if we can shed noffa). Need some more depth in outside backs and front row but there is room there to recruit now that we have locked in our spine. Really promising approach and stands in sharp contrast to dogs and saints who have total lack of spine certainty. Plus our spine would still rank as one of the youngest, Api being the oldest but he strikes me as a Robbie Farah type who will play deep into his 30s with support off the bench. Really promising and the complete opposite of the 2017 panic signings.
Removed Shawn Blore (Released to Melbourne Storm). Added Justin Olam for 2024-2026
What is the Contract status of Chris Fa’agutu, Laulili brothers, Tony Sukkar, and Solo Saukuru?
According to Declan:
Chris is on a development contract this year and will go into the top 30 next year I think.
Kit is on a development deal this year.
Luke is on 1 next year.
Sukkar is on a development deal this year and top 30 next year.
I think sakuru is on a development deal this year but not sure if it’s is a top 30 next year.

David Nofoaluma released. We have a top 30 spot available
The 30-year-old's exit will cap a period of rapid squad overhaul, with only one player remaining from former coach Michael Maguire's first season in charge in 2019.
That man is Alex Twal, who late last year was given permission to look elsewhere before soon after being locked into a three-year extension.
So brutal has been the turnover at the Tigers, all of the other 25 players used in the 2019 season have left the club.
Only Twal, Nofoaluma Adam Doueihi and Asu Kepaoa remain from the 2020 pre-season.
Six players from 2021, when current squad members Stefano Utoikamanu and Jake Simpkin first played for the club, are still at Concord.
The rate of turnover is only matched by fellow cellar-dwellers Canterbury, and sums up the two teams' long battle to return to the finals.
