@tigertownsfs I like it!

Looking at that list, a quality #13 would make us a fairly well-balanced team.

I think it's likely we get Hetherington from the Broncos. He's not what I would call outstanding quality but is pretty good defensively and I do think he improves that list.

I totally agree a quality 13 is our major missing piece and then our left centre spot is still up for grabs. I would also upgrade Hunt or bird if there was an option there. I just want the above team to play together. I am a little scared we will try and turn Latu into a 13 but I’m telling myself that is just Benji trying to ease his minutes back in to first grade

It has been a frustrating year, we are clearly on the improve but several close losses and the Galvin situation has really taken the shine off what has been a clearly improved performance from the squad. We have had injuries and squad movements but I really want to see the gameplan return to what we saw in the first few months of the season and I want to focus on who we want to develop in key positions so that we know what recruitment is required for 2026. This is what I want to see for next weeks game and for the rest of the season:

1.  Bula

2. Turuva

3. Toa

4. Douhie (with cameos from Makasini and May)

5. Skelton

6. Luai (THIS GUY IS A 6!!! I am sick we have spent 20 years trying to manufacture halves can we please just play him in his best position)

7. Latu (speed, defence, class, straightening)

8. Terrell

9. Api

10. Sione (better starter than Pole in the softening up as he is a bigger body but also beautiful late footwork)

11. Sam Fainu

12. KPP (get this guy over now, knights season is toast and their cap is a wreck)

13. Twal (not the long term option here but fine as an extra prop, especially in the first 25min)

14. Heath (covers the backline and hooker, is not a playmaker but is a runner and can carve up around the ruck. Benji often doesn’t use his whole bench anyway if Api plays 80 so only to be used if the game needs it)

15. Hunt (this guy is an impact prop! He is not a 45min prop, he is the guy that gives you the quick play the ball in the red zone that allows us to play the right hand side shape that led to so many Toa and Turuva tries in the first 10 rounds. Don’t play him as a big minutes prop, he is the perfect partner for Terrell who plays massive minutes, just play him in his role)

16.  Pole (incredible footwork, bring him on to replace Twal at 13 and move him into front row when Hunt comes off)

17. Bird (let him scheme).

TDS is gone, we have Hope there if we need him and Haywood coming through to replace Api in 3 years. He is a worthwhile trade for KPP who plays in a role we have massive deficiency in

seyfarth to Ron Massey Cup

Can we get back to basics please and watch Latu and Luai develop their partnership so that we have something to look forward to next year!

I really like your squad mate. I think we can win more than half our remaining games with that team.

The majority of the squad are giving great effort however last night is reflective of most of our close losses this season. One or two poor individual efforts still plague us.

The Tapine try was a shocker last night. There is no point building better defensive systems if we’re just going to let blokes walk through us like that.
