Billy Slater on Luai and Galvin combo:

"It wouldn't surprise me if they actually swap positions and Galvin actually played that halfback role," he said on Nine's Billy Slater Podcast.

"He's a real on-baller, he likes to be involved, while Luai has probably played his best football just sitting off a little bit, like when he plays with Nathan Cleary.

"They mightn't swap the numbers, but they might swap roles of who is more dominant."

Also said our spine is close to the best in the comp...was very positive about our chances of making the 8 this year.....fingers crossed!

Bugger. I was genuinely getting excited about naden this year. Hope he doesn’t let this latest setback get to him as I reckon there will be plenty of opportunities in the centres come mid year. Between olam, AD and toa, could you name a more injury prone centre combo

big rumours on other forum from good source

If taylan May gets off his court case on march 10 he will be a tiger. Perfect replacement for Olam

Spencer Leniu whispers are getting louder, apparently wants out of roosters and penrith have no cap space.

As Bullfrog Peter Moore said with csnterbury the Dogs of War, when you think you have enough props go buy one more.

A front row pairing of May and Spencer would be epic

Throw in a 9 of Api and halves pairing of Luai and Galvin probably gets us close to a top 5 finish

Leniu would be epic, but I think it will cost us a player if it were to happen (not Galvin). I always thought Doueihi would fit in well over there, and they need halves.

I would be very surprised if a few teams were not enquiring about Doueihi, he was solid in the 2nd trial and would probably be a better half than what the roosters, dragons, Newcastle and Souths have running around at the moment. I like the fact we have him on minimum salary this year and he can do a job for us, however would swap him for a quality player in a heartbeat. Esp Leniu or a solid 2RF.

good point forgot about Douehi, he would be a better option at 6 for roosters than sandon smith. If we could get Spencer for him then that would be great.

look at what Dylan Brown is looking at getting approx 1.3 million a year over 10 years, geez we will need to produce some serious Arthur ash for galvin, he should get more than that if he hits the open market.

If he hits the open market I'd say he is as good as gooone, dogs and roosters and parramatta will have plenty to spend

klemmer and douhie to roosters, olam retired vs lenui and Taylan in for 25 and target elite 2RF and upgrade Galvin for 26 and beyond

Not Keen on Cobo.

Fair enough but he’s about to enter his best years & I think would thrive under some GI guidance. But, having stated that, I doubt very much he’ll leave Queensland & his family to come to a Sydney club. I think we would probably be more inclined to look at Taylan May should he become available. But Cobbo would be my pick of the two of them.

Cobo may actually benefit from a move to Sydney and GI as his mentor. His ceiling is ridiculously high, just needs to focus on footy.
