Does Wests Tigers have a charter?
While WT is majority owned by Wests Ashfield (and Wests Magpies) it isn't Wests Ashfield.
You'd think there's a charter that guides the Wests Tiger board?
If wests Ashfield owns 90% of the club (10% Balmain) and 4 of the 7 board seats on wests tigers board it’s safe to assume what WA wants is what WT wants
@frullens Ashfield is inner west and the club likely seems future as inner west e.g. ashfield and Concord COE
I think campbletown gets the junior academy and a boutique 3 games of nrl a year plus all the "Magpies" cup games since they are still Magpies and not switched to wests tigers.
It seems that the only way to get onto the Wests Tigers Board is to first become a Wests Ashfield Board member. If NRL club members organised as a block I assume we could pretty easily get a candidate elected to the Wests Board. Anyone have any ideas of someone who could galvanise the NRL club members to make a play for a Wests Tigers Members voice in the running of the club?
No chance at all ..
For a start you would need to be a Wests Ashfield Member for 3 years to even get voting rights to elect a Wests Ashfield Board Member.. Of which there are very few who aren't debenture holders and rarely change the elected Board members anyway.
Secondly Wests Tigers Board is not an elected board ,,,it is an appointed board by the Joint Venture holders..
My ideal board (I know will never happen)
- Robbie Farah (heart and soul of the club)
- Dene Halatau (Wests Tiger, 6 years working at NRL and ABC)
- Anthony Field (loves the club, businessman, huge connections)
- Steve Waugh (australia's greatest leader)
- Dominic Perrottet (need someone with political connections)
- 1 x member voted positions (the poor sucker)
- 1 X Wests Ashfield members (I know they are 100% owners and need majority share - but this is in ideal world)
- 1 X Wests Campbelltown (I know they don't get along, but need to get Campbelltown inside the tent)
So no one with any experience in running a business?
Robbie's had 2 businesses
NRL players 40% pasifika decent but NRL boardrooms don't reflect the same diversity

In 2017 I met his Uncle on the small pacific island where his family is from. Literally booked another meeting with him yesterday (for November). Good people.
One person who would be great for the Board is Joel Caine
- ex player & loves the club
- very knowledgeable & deep thinker
- smart guy and successful
- very well connected
- has his own thoughts

When we were in high school, a few of my mates (not me) used to leave school on a Friday lunch and go to the bowling club because they had $1 pots and didn't check ID.
Anyway they became such regulars, they ended up going to the AGM and one got voted onto the committee- they weren't even 18 yet!
Definitely, can swamp the voting at Wests Ashfield if we have the right galvanising candidate
Then that person gets to decide on the Renos to Wests Ashfield and what fancy new resturant to add.
Platform would be:reform to Wests Tigers NRL board membership to include 1 seat directly elected by board members. Threaten to keep voting in new wests Ashfield board members until they are to the Tigers board change. In all honesty a directly voted members seat is pretty much a no brainer. It guarantees they retain control of the board but gives the members a vote.
So who here has been a member of Wests Ashfield for 3 years?
That would be me

I doubt he would be allowed to be on a Rugby League Board.

Yeah, I'm only guessing but we couldn't even have Daley involved in coaching due to his links.

Melbourne Storm chairman & owner Matt Tripp- owns Sportsbet and Beteasy
Even our owners at Wests Ashfield or Panthers are basically a mini casino
Maybe coaching is different to Board?

Hey @mike have you voted for the Board before?
You vote for the Ashfield board for positions that are up. Only a couple can be voted for, the rest are debenture and are basically there for life. Also Wests Tigers is not the main game, to vote someone in you would have to overcome the votes of the local community. Almost impossible todo, many have tried and so far all have failed.
