I am willing to look into the process involved, but I don't think you should be getting your hopes up.
Even if we got something going - it might get enough attention that the board do something about it

The election is conducted in accordance with the By-Law on elections and will be conducted as follows:
(a) The ballot shall be conducted by a Returning Officer to be appointed by the Board of Directors.
(b) The ballot shall be conducted between the hours of 12 noon to 8:00pm on Thursday, 25 March 2021 and Friday 26 March 2021.
(c) The ballot shall be conducted at the Club in the designated area. Members should go to the foyer and will be directed to the voting area.
(d) After the close of nominations, the Returning Officer shall determine the order of names of candidates on the ballot paper by drawing lots.
(e) The voter shall mark his/her voting paper by striking out the names of the candidates for whom he or she does not wish to vote and thus leave the name or names of the candidate or candidates for whom he or she votes.
If you explain the process to an outsider - their first question would be 'and you're surprised you have bad governance?'
So you become a member of WT - but that gives you no voting rights to the management of WT
BUT if you become a member of Wests Ashfield, a little casino up the road, you do have voting rights
BUT you can only vote in person on a random day, usually coinciding with pension half priced steak Tuesday
BUT only for the board members of Wests Ashfield, who they in turn have voting rights of who among them sit of West Tigers board
BUT you can only run for Wests Ashfiled Board if you have been a member for 3 years and if you haven't worn thongs or a singlet in tbe last 12 months

That is just about how the vote is conducted

You can only vote if you have been a member for 3 years
Most "memberships" for most clubs don't get you voting rights. Memberships are season tickets.

You need to be a member for 3 years, then make an application to the board to become a full member. Doesn't happen automatically
Howver, there is provision that you don't need to be a existing member, if the board directly invite you to become a director.....

Also says that if the club is ever wound up and it's owes money - remaining money will be sought from the full members.
However if it's wound up but has a profit, the rpfot doesn't go to members but instead to another similar sporting club
