There is a huge belief that he is going to turn it all around for us. I am still not sold on that.

I feel he'll be a significant contributor if we have success, I just hope he's not judged after 60 minutes. Even if he doesn't set the world on fire early, I'm hoping he can help Brooks play to his potential. I have a good feeling they'll complement each other.

All the new players are going to need some time to find their feet. Sadly, Wests Tigers fans tend to be short on patience and quick to crucify.

I have been waiting 10 years for them just to make the 8 if that’s not patience don’t know what is.

Maybe I will learn it in another 10 years

We definitely need a better effort than last week's trial.

We need to run a lot harder and play with more intensity.

I know it's only a trial, but the Team needs to show that we can show heart when needed.

If we lose, then it needs to be a close result.....

It’s only a trial!

It’s only a trial!

Yes, but it’s the trial games where you put the key team structures you have been practicing at training the whole off season against a rival team (not opposed sessions against your own squad who know what has changed.

After last year especially with new assistant coaches I am hoping for better defensive and attacking structures. I can forgive last week because of the rain but this week the team better show strong signs of improvement.

Looking forward to seeing Hastings have a run. Hoping to see him really communicating well with the others. I heard Declan say in a recent podcast something about fans maybe hoping for too much from Hastings, as if they think he will bring instant success. I think that's true to some degree but I don't expect too much at all. But what I think he can do is make a difference and that may only be a small difference but it could be enough. Obviously that only happens if everyone else is doing their jobs well. Which brings me to a comment made by Steve on the podcast, it might only be a poor roster but it can be a poor roster that plays well. Still a few weeks to rd 1 but this will give a better guide than last week.

Welcome to the forum mate, you are right about this week being a better guide then last week. We were missing half our spine last week so hopefully the inclusion of Laurie and Hasting will provide more spark.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

I really hope that James Roberts can silence the doubters (including me) this year. I feel as though Madge's continued faith in him is misguided.

I think Roberts was somewhat let down by a lack of space and early ball last year. Unfortunately, with Peachey not playing, I don’t think he’ll get much good ball tonight either. Was concerning how once Peachey went off, our attack reverted to last years pedestrian style.

Couldn’t agree more Steve, his opportunities were vastly limited last year.Give the jet a sniff of daylight and we”ll see a reversal of fortunes, but that has to be in the minds of his inside men.Let’s just hope that he’s afforded a little clean, early ball, rather than him having to create something by dummy half running which is self defeating.

Anybody know what sort of weather is around for the game tonight. If it’s wet might be a bit of a forwards battle. Which will negate much ball movement, but hopefully our forward get on the front foot and  I hope we win that battle.

Yep,and let’s hope the side as a unit has done so.Win or lose tonight,as long as the team has a solid hit out and performs positively.More importantly no injuries,as we’re already compromised enough with 4 of the squad unavailable or out until deep into the season.Tigaaaaah!!

This weather today and tonight probably makes it a close game tonight not too expansive probably suits us.

We will bomb Kev's wing all night, probably set up for Hastings to have a good game in pommy conditions

looking forward to seeing how simpkin goes from dummy half tonight and how much time he gets, just don't think Liddle was too good last week and he can't play 80 so we need a bench hooker.
