I don't think this is the right time to do a reveiw.
but if they are doing a review, I'll accept Sheens recommendation, as he is closer than anyone else to the team and is qualified to make a full assessment.
But if it's a board decision, simply because they aren't happy about losing. Then I can't accept that, unless they can come up with a clear plan on how sacking madge will make us better. Bulldogs show that sacking a coach in desperation will only attract desperate coaches - which I can't see how that improves us and only takes us backwards with our players who have invested in madge.
1. If youre basing decisions off last night's game (which you shouldn't), my 2 take aways were:
A. First half we score 3 tries with 3 tackles in 20m zone - that's an unbelievable strike rate - and an area we have absolutely been shocking in for years. Shows big improvement, helps having a full spine and good coaching
B. We got beat up the middle all match - 1st and 2nd half. We had a very wek bench with Ute (who is still struggling) and then Kelma and Seyfarth. We have been much stronger with a least 2 if not 3 proper middles on the bench.
The decision to release Mikaele without having a middle to replace him immediately was a mistake and has left us light on. Assuming that's a sheens/ recruitment committee decision.
2. If you're making the review on this year, we've been impressive considering the injuries. But I couldn't make a fully informed decision until we have a decent run with our full squad. Which we are yet to have.
3. If you're making a decision in the 3 1/2 years - they did a review 6 months ago and stuck with him.

I would be giving MAdge until the end of the season but if Sheens has seen enough and decides a new direction is needed at coach, then I am happy to go with that decision.

I agree Garry, I’m not convinced Maguire is the man for us longterm, but happy to accept Sheens recommendation as he now has been here a year (although only in Australia 6 months) and should be starting to good a feel for the lay of the land. Knowing Sheens, he’s had a plan in place anyway.

Judging from the Sheens interveiw - It sounded like it was a board request - not sheens initiated.
Had the feeling he's not pushing for change but he acknowledged its a board decision.
Ironically, if madge survives 2 board rvewiws in 6 months - it may actually strengthen his position and weaken the boards.

I don't care who initiated the review, as long as the decision is Sheens'

On this weeks WestsLife pod, Rob said he spoke with Simon Cook - who said he leaves football decisions to Sheens
So fingers crossed the board follow Sheens recommendations and don't go rogue

If sheens is running the review he will present his findings/recommendations to the Board who will 9/10 endorse what the executive recommends

What happened with the review last year?
What about the stadium speculation.
If anyone needs a review- it's the board

Every 6 months? From the outside it looks like the last review was the 1/10 where what was expected didn’t occur. Holding another one so soon can only have one outcome.

I agree, Sheens is too smart to say that if he wasn’t pulling support of Madge.

1000% he ruled a divided board for a decade
This side doesn't have 8 wins in it ...especially after you look at the draw
Fixed it for you unhappy. Don't worry about 8 straight
Also forgot to add the next three seasons combined as well lol
