I thought Tamou spoke well in the press conference also. Joffa's been good this year, clearly hurting and I prefer that to Madden in the background chatting to the Cronulla blokes. I want them all hurting in the change room firing each other up for next week.

It has to. Regardless of the Sheens comments a few weeks back, he’s not going to be here if we’re 0-8. That would be 11 losses on the trot.

Keep steering the right path
Joffa looks so frustrated out there. He looks especially pissed of when he keeps having to take a hit up of the back of ZERO momentum with 4 or 5 players right in front of him. What happened to the team i saw spread the ball for 50 minutes vs the storm ? Was it a little to complex for the boys ? 800 k some of these nutmegs get !!

It’s quite clear we don’t have the roster to compete, and that’s exacerbated by injuries. Yesterday we had 8 players out most of whom would have made the team (AD, Kepaoa, Laurie, Hastings, Roberts, Talau, Blore, Stefano). Craig Bellamy couldn’t have made yesterday’s team win.
But I get frustrated when we don’t play to complement our strengths or compensate for our weaknesses. The middle defence was mostly serviceable and in games this year we’ve been able to force some errors with our effort in defence, but we don’t have a strategy or game management smarts to complement that. The kicking game yesterday was terrible again. The only positives were Peachy’s grubber that LL narrowly missed (why was it a one off), Madden’s long kick on 4th tackle in 1st half (got good field position but only did it once), Brooks rolled it into the Sharks in goal in the 2nd half (but chasers didn’t chase), Brooks shuffled the pass off to Garner in the 2nd half when he was well marked (instead of rolling the ball into the in goal).
We got touched up yesterday not through lack of effort, but by not building pressure. The other highly paid half backs in the comp do that – not ours sadly.
@notherloss Joffa has been V solid and one of the few leaders in the Squad.
He is off contract at season's end ...isn't he ......another case of one of the club's best player going to leave at season's end like Tuilagi etc

He's asked what he say to WT players in the sheds. Says he'd pull the leadership group together and say that attitude in contagious, if you put your head down everyone does. Focus on your strengths and what go you here.
We desperatly need a mind coach for this team. Apparently admin said it's too expensive.

@helmsey would know better than me, but you can do physc test and profiles to determine your character under pressure. I think of our 5 man leadership group at least 3 drop their head under pressure.
Without doing the profiling - I'd be having Hastings, AD priority the Joffa and Tamou as our leadership group. Lock it in
