Douehi was the best player on the park today from either side.

His kicking game was excellent and his powerful running got us on the front foot in the second half in particular.

He also scored a 100% effort try the likes of which we haven’t seen from any Tigers player all season.

Unfortunately he could turn in a 10/10 performance and there will be people picking faults in his performance.

Some Tigers fans seem to resent the fact that he’s better than Brooks, way better.

AD 100% plays his best football at 6, still needs to create more space for the players around him.

Yip he’s got plenty of scope for improvement but if he can add this to his game he will be an absolute gun 6.

if we allow him to test the open market other clubs will be all over him.

Agreed mate, that is my only point with AD, really need to start seeing it soon though.

Absolutely no doubting AD’s talent, but I have to agree as a 6 it’s incumbent upon him to give the ball a little air and feed his outside men.I tend to think he overplays his hand somewhat by wanting to win on every play.I believe he could put a little more doubt in the opposition’s mind by mixing it up a little.Credit to him today as he looked absolutely gassed after 20 minutes but really hung in there.Never had a preseason after all.

Needs to learn when to engage the line and when to pass early, his biggest asset is his awkward footwork at the line but that same awkward footwork which makes him a dangerous runner also makes him a little difficult to run off when engaging the line.

If he learns to read the defence a little better so he knows when to play early and when to engage then I think he can be a very good 6, but he needs to develop these skills.

I agree with all this except the part about being a 6.

If he had the speed and agility of Wighton or Burton maybe, but he doesn't.

IF he develops the passing game he will be fine, but at this stage I agree he isn't a 6.

AD was also mentioned in the ABC commentary as being the best on field for WT (I haven't been able to watch a replay yet but this seems to be widely acknowledged). So do we move our best player from where he does play his best footy, or figure out how to make it work?

That Sheens has said he wants AD to be a damaging ball runner like Wighton tends to indicate this is where he will stay while the new coaches work on his game - and I agree that he needs to develop his passing game to be a true #6, so I'd give him time there to develop this. I'd rather this than watch a player of his calibre walk.

Mitch Moses at #7 for us would work well in this scenario. As much as I can't stand him!
