That spine doesnt excite me. IMO Simpkin is the best 9 in the club (moot point with Api coming) and I think Brooks would be a waste of space at 13.

Look at teams with "smaller" locks, Roosters, Souffs, Melbourne at times (Cheese)...they have monster packs and can afford the luxury of Cam Murray not bashing in attack because Burgess is smashing out 200m a game. If we have Brooks at 13 you are effectively taking a forward out of the rotation and we have barely hung on in the middle battle, at best.

The ball playing lock need to engage the defenders by threatening to run, then pass as first receiver to the halves.
Brooks was playing first receiver at 7 for the last 8 years and showed through his move to 6 that he needs more time and space.
I'm open to seeing how AD goes at 13 but not sure Brooks is a 13.

All i know is i would keep playing jacko and kenny even though they are injured and give AD the rest of the year off as it doesn't matter. That should do wonders for squad harmony
