hastings at 13 in my view was to accomodate the weaknesses of our other halves. If you replace them with a genuine superstar 6 who excels at the off the cuff play then a 7 who can steer the ship and play with high footy iq.
the other option could be to play Munster at 1 and either Laurie or douhie at 6.

Could Munster come to tigers, very very unlikely but I would much rather pay marquee money for a genuine top player in their position then close to marquee money to a player like douhie who has yet to prove he is anywhere near that class. Give douhie to Melbourne and brooks to Newcastle and you pay for a large chunk of whatever you need to pay Munster. It sounds like from what Anasta said on 360 Melbourne are a long way away from being able to pay Munster what he wants. The tigers and the dolphins are the 2 clubs that would have the cap to afford what Munster wants (1.2+). Maybe we can convince him that we have a much better team around him than what the dolphins can field for the next few years.
Munster would easily be the biggest signing in the club's history but we stand a better chance of getting Benji to Captain/Coach. Much less appealing though...
