Even with all the media chatter, I have to admit I was shocked when I read the email.

IMO the most committed to the club since Junior. IMO he really meant it and I feel sad he didnt get to finish well. There are green shoots all over the club right now and its a shame that he wont be the one to benefit, but Im also not sure he was capable of taking the next step.

If the 2023 coach ends up being Flanagan, Kimmorley, Green or Brown, I think I might be done with this club.

Some big decisions coming up for the club. I actually hope that the way this happened indicates that they have their ducks in a row before pulling the trigger on Madge.

I also dont think the Warriors situation is a coincidence.....worryingly.

I can't believe they did it.

I hope they've got someone lined up in the background.

Ciraldo has been approached before Madge’s sacking and reportedly said would not Consider until there is a position available. Hope they have read the Tea Leaves right

Gus the Great 🤔 said on 100% footy that if Madge sacked 6 players will leave. That the board is miss reading the room. I think he should worry about his own club and wish he had 6 players he would want to keep at the Bullflogs

Another infamous day in Wests Tigers history. The dissenters win again.

I think the club has arrived at the correct decision but in the wrong way and the way this has been played out in the media and in public has been an absolute shambles and I can't help but feel a bit of sympathy for Madge.

It does raise some real concerns about the governance and decision making at a board level and I have very little confidence in them getting the next decision correct.

I can understand how you feel. I was the same if we kept Madge. The Tigers are a frustrating team to support most of the time.

You would hope that the reason it took so long to make an announcement was because we had someone lined up. I think there is zero chance we'd go for Brown or Green. I think Ciraldo, Woolfe, Morris and maybe Flanagan are the most likely choices (in that order). I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

you'd have to think our chances of landing Burton would be good if we wanted him...

This is one off those pivot moments in an organisation ..Sacking Maguire was a no brainer the hard part now is acquiring a coach to turn this club around ..doing this now indicates to me with half the season left they could have someone locked in and clearing the decks for the next coach to have the remainder of the cap and the decision who stays and who goes moving forward . The COE opening in a month would be a great day to introduce the new coach and hand him the keys !After 3.5 seasons of negativity a new dawning has arrived onward and upward 🥳

I’m happy for Madge. He seems to be an extremely hard worker and genuinely dedicated to coaching Wests. Has done a lot in the background to change things for the better. But unfortunately, and for whatever reason just couldn’t get results. I would not be surprised if he takes the job at the Dogs or Warriors. It must have been difficult to coach with all this rubbish going on.

@avocadoontoast we would be mad not to lose Brooks and also douhie for Burton at 6 and go and get a legitimate fullback

remember Brooks is supposedly on 1.1 million next year lol and douhie 600k so we have 1.7 million for Burton and a top grade fullback like Stephen Crichton
