The team list isn’t out until tomorrow but I am hoping with Brooks out that Doueihi  passed medical with the specialist and is declared fit for the game. Can’t wait to see the Hastings & Doueihi combination in action.

As long as everyone isn't expecting miracles from Douehi ...coming off an ACL will take him sometime to get some confidence in that knee .....especially after his 2nd ACL surgery

Probably the wise call .....we aren't in the Top 8 running for 2022 and I'd rather we had a full roster available for 2023

Not expecting miracles. I really just want to see how they communicate and share responsibilities on field. ie Do the gel well together.

I hope Adam is available but off the bench perhaps replacing Madden at some point. I would love to see the combination as well but he'll need to gain confidence and won't have the motor for the full 80.

I hate to try and benefit oppositions sides  , but I wouldn't be upset to see Mick Potter get a 2nd shot

If he is fit enough ....40 minutes at full back ??

I’d be playing Peachey in the centres if AD starts off the bench

Keep steering the right path

Stefano

Garner

Leilua

Joffa

Peachey

Tuilagi

Twal

Mikaele

Notes

I can justify keeping Tupou in the side after his debut. He showed a lot of promise. However the safest option is do bring him back at the end of the year when there is less pressure

I think AD should be eased back into the side - we have the bye in two weeks right? Wasn't round 14 always the plan? Maybe centre is a good way to ease him in?

I have long been a believer in Noffa at fullback. He filled in there against Parra two years ago and was able to inject himself into the game with hard running support play. Star has been pretty ordinary. The attempt at tackling Cotter on that try before half time summed him up well.

Its hard to justify any particular team selection when we are 2-8 so I won't argue with whatever we run out. The players are trying they just lack talent. Given the overall lack of talent I think there should be more of our squad off contract but that is for another post

If AD passes fit to play, I actually hope a cautious approach is taken. It's one thing to come back from a long term injury into a team that's going okay - and another entirely to come back into our side the way we're travelling with so many injured. Personally I don't think he should be saddled with the responsibility straight up.

Madden to 6 makes sense to me, AD off the bench.

100% agree. This season is more or less over. If he comes back too soon and re-injures the knee then 2023 becomes a write off as well!

I agree too, I guess the only thing is you could bring him back in reserves and something could go wrong there too.

I’d pick him in the centres or on the bench, not shoulder him with playmaker duties straight off.

Apparently Doueihi failed his tests is what I’m led to believe.

Maybe next week
